I know there is already a post for Veterans Day, but the more tributes the better. This link was originally intended for WWII and Korean vets, but a page has been added for Vietnam vets too. It is very touching. Personally speaking, Republic of Vietnam - 6-Jan-69 thru 5-Jan-70

Philly0381 The reason it appears to be a site problem is that the speed issue seems to be affecting many users only on Wincustomize. Every other site I visit, even graphic-intensive sites, load much faster. Download speeds elsewhere are much faster than this site. That's why those with problems believe it to be this site only. And the inconsistency is weird, why some users are doing fine and others are slow. I hope they can fix the problems bef

I agree it has been beaten to death. But what I would like to know is what are the issues that you are aware of and what is being done to address the issues. To say it is being worked on doesn't say a whole lot. Being somewhat computer literate, and as a longtime subscriber, I would like to know what the problems are. I need to decide if a membership renewal is worth my money. Again, it may not be any of my business, but what does it hurt to be forthcoming?

With all due respect, this IS a site problem. There are many people reporting about this issue in the forums. Is is being posted in different arenas because there is so much frustration. People are trying to find out what is happening, make their voices heard, and hoping someone will listen and let us know what the prognosis might be. It is a legitimate concern that needs to be addressed soon. And I apologize if I'm getting riled. I just wish someone in the know would address the situ

That's what frustrates me. Many of us are posting about the problem, but no one from Stardock is offering anything about the situation. We all just sit around and wonder what's going on. It's none of my business, but if this were my company, I'd be addressing the problem to the community. It seems there are quite a few folks who are pretty disgusted and not visiting the site as often. Of course, maybe that's one way to address the speed issue. [e digicons];)[/e]
so i take it the speeds didn't get fixed in the server move?
Ya gotta wonder what the heck is going on. Is it too much to ask to get an update from Stardock on where this problem is now? Has the switch been finalized and is everything in place? Should we be seeing faster speeds yet or not? Is anybody home? If it is supposed to be all better, it ain't.

This sounds like an acknowledgement of the problem and a plan to address it. Just what I had asked for. I appreciate someone giving a heads up and I sure hope it solves the problems of slow site speeds. Kuddos for efforts. Thanks.[e digicons]:)[/e]
i wonder if it will ever be worked on or fixed, it's been slow as molasses for me for months on end, sometimes unusable
Agreed, except slower than frozen molasses. Makes you wonder what's the point of being a subscriber if you can't even use the site. Download speeds are typically horrible.
It's a known issue. By far the slowest site for everything from browsing to downloads. I've followed all the suggestions, opened a support ticket, and been told there's nothing their engineers can do at this time. Very frustrating. Great site for programs and content, but the access and speeds defeats the usefullness so that I just give up and leave the site. And this has been going on for several months for me.

A trip down memory lane. My memory is evaporating, so I don't remember all of the oldies I've used, but most of these seem familiar. I remember going from PowerDesk to ExplorerPlus and lamenting the lack of updates. I've had Directory Opus for at least 3 years and have always been very satisfied. It is pricey, but has many features and is updated quite regularly. It was updated for Vista very quickly and performs fine. A fine choice you'll enjoy.
I can meanwhile confirm the bug found by mjbisme
Thanks aufisch. I'm glad to see someone else experiencing the problem. ;) ;)
When moving more than 200 cursors into the CursorFX-folder, the CursorFX panel becomes unresponsive (I don't have CursorFX crashing on me, but I still can't do anything with it).
Perhaps I used the term crash incorrectly here. The Control Panel does simply freeze and become unresponsize. The chosen cursor is still
...and it never went transparent on me. CXP works great but I just wanted to upgrade to the new CFX for kicks
Same here, and to support Stardock for all the goodies over the years. I have the Plus version, but it still crashes with the latest version. I just want all the cursors I've downloaded over the years to be available.
Just for verification purposes if you are having troubles still with CursorFX please make sure you have updated to the latest 2.04 release AND that you have CXP uninstalled. If you can reproduce an error you are getting please start a ticket with us at support@startdock.com explaining the error, how to reproduce it, and what your system stats +OS versions are. I will be more than happy to test out each situation and report it up for you.
Ticket # ZCQ-826409 has been unre
Bugaroo??? - CursorFX main window goes transparent when CFX app border is clicked anywhere (top, bottom, L/R side of the window. Results in a transparent CFX window with whatever background visible where the CFX app window was previously displayed (i.e., my browser, desktop, etc...) Besides being extremely slow to load, with a lot of cursors the Control Panel will go transparent when you cli
I think the problem people are having is CXP has to be uninstalled (save your themes first) before CFX is installed. I have CFX Plus running on 3 machines (Vista Ultimate,Vista Home Prem and XP Pro)and it runs flawlessly on all three. I dl a theme no matter if it's a .curxptheme or a .cursorfx file and click on the file I get a window that says: Theme copied into theme common folder: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\CursorFX\Themes Do you want to make the selected t
