MVP Beta Branch in Sins Rebellion Sins Forums

I was browsing my steam games seeing if any betas were available on the games I had installed. Not sure why but I was. I came across one for Rebellion that had a password. The steamdb website has a record for this and the version number is a reasonably high jump. I don't see any news on a new update in the pipeline. Does anyone have an info on this beta?

I have similar performance issues with what I feel is reasonalbe PC: Core 2 Quad @ 2.7Ghz 4GB Ram 5870 ATI. Not sure what settings are the best for performance.
