How do you keep ships on a setting permenantly? i.e Guard, sentry, attack all enemies. After a few turns the ships in question revert to stand-by mode which is frustrating if you have a lot of fleets.Ive lost quite a few planets because enemy fleets just fly past and invade while my fighters/defenders just sit there! BTW does guard mode actually work? And whats the difference between guard and sentry modes?

Good question! Id love to know the answer to this too as its frustrating upgrading ships and then be shown a bare hull on the screen.Mabe this is something they could implement in the next patch?

Yup exact same problem here.Just happened to find the link to the serial number swap page on the main page.Everything now works a treat. Mabe they should make it more obvious or sticky it in here.Hint,hint.

Thanks for your answers. .Problem is now solved.I hadnt seen the link in the corner which gives you a new usable serial key if you bought the game in Europe! Any chance you could enlarge the link? As it is quite important that peeps see the darn thing.Cheers.

Ive just instaled GC2 (Collectors Edition) and for some reason I cant get the latest download.I enter my CE code in the space provided but all I get are CE d'loads which require the latest version of GC2 which I cant get! It seems to be a catch 22 situation. Ive tried installing through Stardock and that says my serial number is invalid. But it seems to be valid on this site.Im seriously confused. Is there another serial number anywhere? Ive checked everywhere and cant find any only the CE numbe
