Way back when this game came out I was able to modify the number of Available Trait/Ability points to build a custom civ with. I can't remember how I did that. I did try modifying the RaceTraitSliderGroupDefs in both the main game and Mod directories, by zeroing out all the cost numbers, but no luck, always goes back to default. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Using Ver 4.01 w/Intrigue

Playing the tutorial, after assigning a ship (Revenge) to go on station around the starting planet (Refuge), how do I take the ship off station and assign movement orders?

From what menu am I supposed to be able to trigger an upgrade of my ships in space? The only place I see with an UPGRADE menu is in the shipyard. When I click that, it takes me to the new design menu, but I don't see any dialog or option that triggers the upgrade to the fleet. The manual doesn't say how to get to the upgarde menu on page 41?
I was suffering from low approval due to population. I had built two farms on Earth. I whacked one of the farms and built an entertainment network, and earth went from 40 to 60% approval, 77 overall on a small map with very few habitable. It doesn't make sense, and goes against every other space conquest strategy game (moo, space empires, etc.) I've ever played, but it worked to some extent. Whatever the formula is, the population problem may be the most unrealistic part of this "Sci-Fi" strategy game, technologies included. I'm feeling some frustration over the combat limitations (I need research to put more than two hyperdrive ships into a fleet?) and results too (1 "fighter" can kill a Frigate!?!), but that's a story for another thread. All systems are full and I have 3 planets; ---------------Earth---------------Mars-------------------Mormegil Pop----------20.17--------------2.58--------------------14.8 Food---------22------------------5------------------------15 Approval----40------------------100---------------------87-----------62 overall with a 20% tax
