I don't like the cost of the tech now. If I play on a small map, you cannot get far in the tech tree even when tech is set "very fast". I suggest making the cost of tech variable depending on the size of the map. I like smaller maps. You can control your planets without feeling overwhelmed, and I don't like governors or dozens of fleets in the bigger maps. Tech just takes too long to research!
