Well that's to bad... Can we ask why? I mean seems that it shouldn't be to hard to add and a cap of 1 should make it valuable and not overpowered. I don't see it as the ultimate fighting machine, more the ultimate support ship....

Good idea, I like the mothership idea, but it should take a long time to build and cost a lot as well. Don't know for the second one has it might make it easy to fortified your system so that no one can attack you without having massive loses. T4 like ship might be a good idea but they need to be very late in the game, cost a lot and probably limited. The only problem is to find them special ability making them powerfull but without making them invicible. Maybe they should be geared tow
I agree on the fact that some of the class 0 should be usuable. For example a giant gaz planet could be used to extract energy from it, I would even go one step further and put anti-matter in the game. This would make a great weapon or energy source but to get it you will need a special starbase on close orbit to a sun (a yelow one of course) and it's a risky buisness and it would be illegal to do that. All this ca be found in the night dawn trilogy by
I have done it a lot in my game with the drath, go for diplo tech and invest in spying to know a lot about the other civs. In my game the altarian were getting quite powerfull so I decided they needed some war to weaken them and allow me to continue my war of influence. So I took some civ that were neutral or wary with them, offer them some ships and one or 2 tech to have them go to war against the altarians. I worked perfectly and the altarian e
There is no hard borders as in civ4, it's simply your area of influence, where your culture is dominant. So the IA can build base right in the middle of your system, you can do the same. Influence bomb is not the right term, it slow to upgrade a influence starbase to have it be really effiecient and cost a lot of money. Also if you do that the IA can pest you about it, she event treaten you to have you destroy it (but she never attacked me for th
The way of countering it is building one of your own to overlap there's (like build one that covers also your two planets) or build some influence improvment on your planet (embassy).... or research tech that give you influence bonus. I nfluence is a powerfull weapon, one thing I would like to see is being able to taxe them or prevent them to build on my influence zone (other than by the UP vote, by the way who is making those propositions? I neve
I'm not sure you can allied if you are at war or the other party is at war. And I have been able to ally only with civ that are close to me, in normal diff. Strange thing I hade: I made an alliance with the Yor, Drengin and Arcean (all allied to me), the Drengin attacked the Alterians and ask for the alliance to be honored, wich I did (I was loooking in a way to attack them anyway) but the then the other 2 didn't went to war, the alliance was stil
Depend of your setting as well, if the influencial civs are goods might be a good think to align with good. And being evil with good neighbour can change a lot of things. But when you says a civ leaning to good can't be choose evil, it's not true, you just need a lot more money to do it. My last game I was toward good (even if I made a few evil choice, I guess it depends how evil is what you are about to do) and it cost me nothing to align with go
Ok thanks for the quick reply, so there is a scale but what I want to know, is it a fixed one or is it kind of random? I'm asking because it would make sense for me that enslaving, destroying people homes is more evil than just disposing some old ruins, so you should get less evil point for destroying the ruins. Is that correct?
You keep your technologies when you trade them. The only thing you have to be carefull is not to give away something you may regret later. Let's says you are the only one having missile tech, if you give it away to the wrong people you migth find it used agains you.
Ok guys I have 2 questions, first is there a scale for your evil/good choice? For exemple is destroying some old ruins less evil than enslaving the population? Or is it all the same? And about propaganda, they talk about it in the manual but I never saw it in game, is it only for evil civs? Thanks!
As long as the approval rating is above 50% you should be fine. I never managed to have it stay at 100% and after a while it tend to stay around 60%-70%. You can always lower your taxes if you can afford it. The radical solution (a bit evil I guess) is to destroy some of your farm and let them starve until you have the population level you want. Or you can research entertainment so that they fell more happy.
I guess the way to have it done faster is to spawn some influence starbase near the planets. I think in the manual they say you need 4X more influence than the other civ. You should be able to see if the planet is likely to flip if you can check it's approval rating, if it's getting low, good for you. But for that I guess you need to spend a little in spying.
Try it in "normal", I'm a beginner to but I like chalenge... I made the mistake to go full diplomacy and trade for other tech. I gave up after they destroyed most of my station and fleet. Will give it another try tonight (and crushed them, no diplo this time!)
I noticed the same kind of problem, my multimedia center seems to have litle effect on the aproval rating. Even when the population is stable.
I wonder now if my game has been activated, I have 2 accounts with the same email address just a different password. If I don't see the activation option in SC, does that means I'm good? I have some "purchased" software like iconPackager... But I didn't bought them, maybe it's coming from the Alienware theme I'm using or is it a bonus coming with the game? I can't activate them, when I try, I get the 2 different email problem box coming. <b
