This is a safety measure for you, Borg999. Better to receive an email than have someone NOT you signing in and you NOT knowing about it. Think about it. I'm using the modern style. I downloaded an app from the Windows store. It wasn't good, so I tried to uninstall it. I selected "universal apps" from the start menu and then right clicked on the program. There was no option in the sub menu to uninstall that app. When I switched back to Win 10 style, the option to uninstall the app was available.

Today, I got an email from Google stating "Someone used Firefox to sign into you Google account". Oh, no, maybe I should only use Chrome to sign in [rolling eyes smiley] ...Oh, Yea, it was me, and I did it less than an hour ago... As if Google didn't know that Firefox was being used to sign in to the account from the same computer I use all the time.

Yea, I agree with Some1, Start10 works better, and is easier to use than Classic Shell on Windows 10. While, I'm here, I have a suggestion for SD... Include classic Windows Explorer/File explorer versions with Start10. There are plenty of Windows explorer alternatives available, but I bet SD could do a better job than most.

This thread had been hijacked. The OP did not intend to discuss privacy, but rather ease of use, and the lack of need for supliment programs to enhance it's functipnality.

I agree with FL. Win10 is easy to use. There really isn't an urgent need for start 10 like there was for start 8. I think this would be a good opportunity to add a few more bells and whistles to the program. Give people additional reasons to buy it.

It may be more realistic, but when playing a game, I personally value fun and engagement over realism. BTW, opinions that differ from yours are not automatically knee jerk reactions.
Quoting Borg999, reply 4 I don't like the idea of retreati

While your argument for bombardment makes sense, it would be very unbalancing. Essentially, the first species to develop long range ships and weapons would permanently dominate the game, making game play linear and formulaic, as there would only be one path to winning.

Yea, with all the discussion going on about the wheel, I thought this might be a good refresher.
Nothing really new there...[e digicons];)[/e]
Actually, a good analogy could be made between the allocation of the GCIII wheel and the allocation of a portfolio. Just like setting the wheel to 100%, allocating a portfolio to just one asset, would be a bad idea.
Just to clarify, I'm not trying to start a flame war. Secondly, I feel like it is disingenuous to say that I'm calling expression of opinion selfish. If you have a problem, by all means express it. However, the degree of emotion and volume of these opinions about something that is without a doubt a feature used by a small minority detracts from discussion about features the majority could use. When yo

No one should be considered selfish or a troll for expressing their opinion or wishes. Just because someones view doesn't match yours doesn't make them selfish. The developers can chose to listen or not. Listening to the minority is often not the best way to go, but it can't hurt to consider it. IMHO, fun and engagement should always have priority over realism.

Not trolling, just pointing out what I see as contradictions. I personally don't mind the wheel change. Having worked in a corporate environment for many years, I've become cynical, I've seen the different faces executives use internally and with the public. Sure there is more to life than financial considerations, but in the business world, only one thing matters. Corporations (publicly held or private) exist for one purpose. To maximize shareholder (owner) value. Anything else i

SD isn't one of the components of your portfolio? Well anyway, if the success or failure of GCIII doesn't matter to you financially (or if SD's success or failure is of no consequence to your personal wealth), or if customer opinions don't matter why bother posting or reading the forums? Just tell people "this is how it will be" and then lock the forum. Heck, just have ID do it. No sense it dealing with the whining entitlement masses. No one needs that kind of stress.<

It wasn't an accident. Brad is a strong and vocal supporter of Ayn Rand ideas.
People who work in creative industries accidentally channel Ayn Rand pretty often when they talk about their work. I did see a little bit of Howard Roark when Frogboy made posts defending the decision to remove the wheel. However in the game's ideology feature greed is in the evil section. That isn't very Ayn Rand like
