Hi, Basj I need you escalate this with support. I am also mailing sales. I finally managed to use System Restore to restore my PC to the date before I installed Windowblinds. The problem was not fixed. I had to uninstall my antivirus then use system restore. Then to reinstall my antivirus I had to use an app that removed all previous elements of the AV. Then I had to reinstall all the windo

I have partially fixed some icons. This restores some default icons but not all (.mp3). Thank you for all your help, I really appreciated it. Here is the partial Windows 10 solution for future use: 1. Open Windows settings 2. Search for 'Turn Windows Features On/Off' 3. Select Media Features and turn off Media Player. Allow to complete process. 4. Reboot. 5. Open Windows settings 6. Search for 'Turn Wi
Thank you Basj. BTW - Simplic is a wonderful theme. Thank you for that.
It did not work. IconPackager10.03_setup_sd
Hi Basj, I have already tried those without success.
Hi Basj, thank you but this did nothing to fix the problem. Screenshot: https://sta.sh/0kzqb4g6w6v
I've had the most awful experience with Icon Packager in Windows 10 64-bit. After using Icon Packager the default file icons for all my music and movie files are blank white file icons. The default Icons are still present on my system but nothing will allow me to change them back to the default types. Using Icon Packa
Anyone?
Way back I made a map of ancient Britain for Elemental and remember there was a way to import a transparent layer. Or, it may have been an external mod map editor - I can't remember. Does anyone know if it's possible to import a map layer to trace around in the Cartographer's Table or if there's a mod for this? Thanks, Ian
...and it wasn't really that big of a deal? Whats with the sense of entitlement that gamers have these days? Its like every little thing is a game breaker for people. Almost as if people want to make themselves sound more hardcore than the next by bitching about problems in a game that they're obviously interested in or enjoying to some extent in the first place. Not even talking about Elemental specifically, but it just seems like more and more people are complai
6. Effective! At the end of the day, if people are still stealing the software, then what was the point?7. Not existent. Because not a single CP has been able to fulfill requirement 6. Ever.
Agreed. Which is exactly why GC2 copy protection works-It has none and it still sells. Amazingly sells: [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/?aid=303512"]Link to topic[/link]
Glad to see they have changed their decision. What is happening is that finally gamers are taking the initiative and saying "No, I will NOT buy this product if it has THAT copy-protection". I personally have not bought any game with Starforce on it for over 2 years now, even though I wanted the games that had it on (Freedom Force Vs. 3rd Reich, Silent Hunter 2). This is the most powerful form of protest there is, and can change the policies of companies. After all, if
The problem with this copy protection personally speaking is that: 1. Single Player, playing while online leaves you exposed and vulnerable. You have to have AV running. Personally, I always play offline with AV off. This always improves performance and gives me peace of mind. 1 activation via online is fair and perfectly unobstrusive. One every 10 days - no thanks. 2. [I]I bought the game, I paid for it legitimately. Screw your checks e

Did everything suggested - deleted the Twilight folder from My Games - still greyed out. I don't get it? How can this be resolved?
Its greyed-out on the setup screen. The only way to create a new opponent is to start as a custom race, create, edit then save.
As a gamer, there is nothing better to simply click on an icon - and the game loads. For me personally, between a game taking up to 1 minute to authenticate and a game that takes 5 seconds, I'll often choose the faster. For real horror stories with copy-protection, google 'Starforce problems' and 'pace interlock problems'. Pace Interlock is especially nice. It installs and *bypasses the OS* writing to a part of the hard disk. The problems caused by this are simply jaw-
What a great topic & thread. It has always been my arguement that CD copy protection doesn't work and it really, really sucks. How many of us know, that no matter how carefully we take care of our CD's, after a couple of years (several months even) there will be a time you put it in your drive and it won't validate - the result is you are left with an inacessible game. The truth is, at this point, we will do one of 2 things: download a No-CD crack, or buy a new cop
http://planetpixelemporium.com/earth.htmlIm not sure if that will help, but i found it very useful for fiddling and getting my earth to look just right. it has about, 15+ useful texture maps of all the planets in our solar system.
This does help very much - thank you greatly for this! -Seven
Has anyone made Earth & planets of our solar system? This would be a great mod! I know how to make new textures except Earth is different - the map must match-up...
Thanks for that Kryo - I'm all for pirates but perhaps in a later update there could be an option box for 'realistic' pirates which means destroy their base = no more pirates. Of course I can see the reason for a Pirate *base* to re-appear someplace - that makes sense and in my opinion would work better with this new option. It is just frustrating, that as a strategy gamer I cannot plan logically for dealing with pirates: e.g. Locate the base, deal a crippling blow etc. <b
Its a Game-Breaker. Plain & simple. Tactical thinking, planning and skill are useless if you have random spawning pirate fleets. Game-Breaker. Not sarcasm or spite, just fact.
I have the same problem. If it is indeed free-spawing pirates appearing, with no regards to game reality (i.e. pirates must have a base, logistical requirements etc.) then tactics, strategy and intelligent gameplay get thrown out of the window along with the reason to play. I really hope there is a valid reason for Pirates appearing like this, and a tactic to stopping them. I'd hate to stop enjoying this game...
