hello, hopefully this is the correct area to post this issue. The error I get when I try to start the game is "The product appears to be validated but the serial number or the machine SID don't match" I have ensured the Serial is correct by having the lookup done (Lookup Serial Number in Stardock Central) and copied the serial sent in the email into the registration in stardock central, and in the update serial option on the games splash screen. Hello Suralle, I am looking to join a good easy going empire, but being new to this, I have some questions. I'm most likely not going to be winning many games, as I want to challenge myself and keep the difficulty high. What is more important to empire scores, an easy difficulty win or a higher difficulty defeat? I saw in the metaverse that they have W/L stats, I wouldn't want to be the one to score all the losses...

ah yes. haha I did not think of that, but it makes sense. Ashain also pointed out that only one side of a conversation needs the UT, but if they wanted to talk to any other race that didn't have one, they would need it for themselves. Good thinking!

haha it's funny, with how good galciv2 looks, I figured I'd download the demo of galciv, and of course, was frustrated by the demo limit. So I bought it, and have been enjoying it quite a lot while I wait for galciv2. I'm not sure what my point is, that I'm a sucker and paid for a game that's outdated and about to be replaced, or that maybe it's still good enough to stand on its own. Either way, not long now.
