Wha...!?! The released date is pushed back until 3/3/06? So close to release? Why? Does that count only for the UK or the rest of the EU as well?

1) No they won't be in (which is most unfortunate) 2-5) Since they aren't in these questions are irrelevant. Ask them when Stardock releases an update with the TERROR STAR (that's how they are called in GC). I trust that they WILL bring them back, right Stardock?
I live in Athens, Greece. The weather here the past few days has been just like in Spring, not too warm nor too cold. Winter will be officially gone in 8 days and Spring will take it's place! Yay! PS: Hey Lucian Gyiira - Global Nexus there you are! I told you i keep an eye for you!
It's very nice indeed! Now all you need to do is fix those annoying problems we come across from time to time.
Playing some DOOM 3. It still scares the hell out of me!
Well, i know that talking about new additions to the game when it's not even out yet is a bit silly. But it is a discussion board and we are... discussing right? Time drags if we don't. Giving out some general orders doesn't need to be like: target this ship or destroy their engines first. They won't really need to be ordered during the battle, to avoid getting too tactical. You could select an pre-made battleplan, for example, before combat and the result of the battle would be dire
correction: command in ORDER to conquer. sorry for double posting but it wouldn't let me edit.
no need to apologise.
no. The are numerous threads already dedicated to the subject (two of them created by me). Search a little.
Most of us do not want tactical combat in the game(including me). We don't want to control our ships. What about commanding them? Wouldn't it be cool if we could give out ganeral orders during the battle? Not very specific tasks. Just controlling their general approach and strategy of the battle. This way you feel more in control of the situation but not too much. You really are the commander of your fleet! Not the pilot of every ship. So what to you think? Could this work for a
One more negative vote here: NO tactical However i would like to give orders to my ships to perform specific tasks: spread fire, hide in the the nebula, focus fire on ship x, suround the enemy, hold fire, fire at will etc. Wouldn't that be something nice?
There you go Stardock! Isn't this a nice addition for an update or what?
There is a tech movie called terrorstar in the preload. Apparently it is there. It has been confirmed that i won't be in the game. Maybe they wanted it in at first and when they decided to remove it they left a few files behind. Have you seen this movie?
nope. there are no novas and such. An expansion could introduce some natural disasters but i wouldn't count on it.
nah, no way you can do that.
It would be a nice touch for sure!
Yeah unforunately they aren't in But i'm pretty sure they will add it in an update or something. They have to!
And if they did orbit, they could move every 4-5 turns a sector, or something like that. You could plan ahead this way if you knew the orbit of a planet. That could be fun! Oh well, doesn't really matter.
I wish those guys at Firaxis had the same mentality about multiplayer as Stardock. When i played civ4 a few times i got the feeling that many things were missing. It's still a good game but it could have been so much more. I mean, check out the civ fanatics forums. There are many complaints that the game's focus on multiplayer has sucrificed a lot of things in singleplayer. For example, i would love it if theAI wasn't so damn stupid! As Frogboy said, most players don't play online at
It would be interessting if they did orbit, no?
As discussed in several other threads, yes. You need only add a 256x256 PNG image with the proper naming convention in [GC2 folder]/Gfx/Race. Likewise for the race logo icons, which are 128x128 PNG images in the same location. Those images will then be available as selections in the game. Thank you, human! You have interresting games here on ea
Nobody answered my question: will i have the possibility to import my own picture for a custom leader. As much as humans look similar to us, they still look ....premitive. No offence.
I will create a custom race. I want to play as a race that looks like us. None of the races are based on facts (exept from you humans) and they look completely different than most of our neighbours. Will i be able to import a picture of our kind in the game or do i have to make do with the ones in the game?
hey you guys! i'm wondering if the game will run on a system with a quad core CPU! I heard they will be comming out next year and i have my doubts... The game will be so much forward of it's time.
Nice work there! Now you can sleep all you want! Only one question by me: are you guys planning to bring back the terror star in an update? Sorry that i always bring that up but...
