I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before but it's obviously a bug: When i'm playing and i want to start a new game, i go to the main menu and press new game. However when i go to the abilities options i can't select anything as the boxes uncheck the as soon as i click on them. If i click on the reset and then clear sometimes the bonuses from my last game get checked and i have a negative number in the "points left ".

Is this confirmed by stardock? Are they looking into it?
I didn't know that. It's not that i care much about the lights. I just think that the game doesn't make use of the maximum power of my system. I get this impression mostly from the combat viewer and especially the invasion videos. Maybe there is a possibility to reduce brightness for those two only to make it more atmospheric?
Thanks Roscoe-OO! That was it!
I think that my graphical settings are not on the highest posssible settings (e.g. lights don't appear on the dark side of a planet) even though i have the reccomended specs. Is there a way to force the game run at the highest graphics level? Are you guys at stardock planning to include graphical settings in a update? PS1: How can i track my order to see when the game box will be sent to me? PS2: When will you make an update with the terrorstar? ( I haven't mentioned that fo
I've ordered directly from Stardock the CD version and while waiting for it to arrive i downloaded the game. Now i have both the game installed and the CD box on it's way. I'm not sure why you didn't do the same yourself.
I have this problem since the day i downloaded the game. Every time i turn my pc on the GCII autorun menu pops up. It's very annoying! How can i stop this? If i reinstalled the game will the problem go away? How can i reinstall it though? Antone else with the same problem?
It would be so funny if someone pulls that off
Eh.... what the combat simulator for? Is it an updated version of the combat viewer? I hope i don't sound too ignorant
Are you planning to include more options later on? How do i check what's my AA limit?
Does the game auto-detects the graphics level? There aren't any options to control it besides the resolution and the AA. The maximum AA setting seems to be X4. I read that the max is X6 or X7. Why doesn't it appear to me? Hardware limitations? Also, i don't see any lights on the dark sides of the planets. What's up with that? Is it only me or do the planets in the battle viewer seem a bit fuzzy? My specs: P4 2Ghz 1GB DDR RAM GeForce 6600GT 128 AGP
Nevermind, i found the correct setting. When set to autoscroll the rotating function works. The default was "Next window". I own a "Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0" by Microsoft. Anyone having the same problem i had (not being able to rotate with the WHEEL BUTTON) should change the "wheel button" setting ,under the "buttons" tab in the mouse properties, from the default "Next window" to the "AutoScroll" setting. That should do it. PS: When i said "midle mouse button" i meant
Maybe if i change my mouse settings it will work because now when i click on the wheel it goes to the desktop. Any idea what setting to choose for it? There are several options: back, forward, disable, maximize, minimize, new, open etc.
Any idea on how to dissable the start up pop up? It's getting very annoying. Maybe i can try to reinstall the game. How do i do that though?
How many scenarios are in the campign?
After several turns, it still hasn't returned to it's previous state. Is this suppose to happen?
There is no way i can rotate. If i could rotate that way i wouldn't be complaining about it now would I?
I'm not sure if this is a bug but today when i loaded my last saved game the influence boarders were much smaller than they were. This was for all races on the map. After one turn they expanded a bit further but then no more. What's going on? I haven't tried to repeat this in another game to know if it persists. Has anyone experienced something similar?
I was just thinking of small changes and little tweaks that could make ship designing a little easier and less time-consuming. Here are my suggestions: 1) First of all let me say that i can't rotate neither the main map nor the ship designing window with the middle mouse button. It just doesn't work. That said i'm hoping that you add some hotkey or something so that anyone with this problem will be able to rotate. I don't mind so much about the main map but when designing ships it's a
That's why I couldn't understand all of the "no diagonal scroll" whining in the forums. Who needs it? I edge scrolled once. It was too slow for me. I never went back. I was one of the "whinners" on the subject. Not having an alternative i switched to the right-clicking method and it's pretty practical. I don't care anymore about edgescrolling
And frankly, if you're so concerned about Minor's... just crush the darn races. Don't say that loudly cause you never know..... the human race might be one of those minor races!
Why can't you spy on minor races? Are they supposed to be immune or something? Or is it that they are too insignificant to bother? Ah well, i guess it doesn't matter that much.
I would love to use that squirrel the devs used in the game examples. It is so darn funny!
Well? Anyone?
How on Earth can i gather intelligence on minor races??? I keep searching for an espionage bar for a minor race but i can't find any. What am i missing here? Also, i'm wondering what are the differences between the espionage levels and where can i see how much more do i have to spend to reach a specific intelligence level. Thanks
