I think they declare war on the same time because with another player already warring with you, then its easier if theirs 2, because you have to go for 2 people now, not just one. It makes for an easier war. Thats probably why they all declare war on you at around the same time.

Are you running it windowed? I think you might not be able to turn on anti-aliasing in a window. Update your drivers at the main ATI site, maybe that will fix it too.
To install the box version you only need to type in a serial found on the Cd case.
Actually, the 5200 does support TrueType Fonts, people are running this game. I used to have one back in the day, it ran all games, just on the lowest settings.
They've said before that they'll give you the collectors edition as long as they have stock in. I'm 95% sure they would give you the collectors edition if you ordered now.
Is there a way that I could use the dreadlord models as a ship?
Put them here: (At least for mine) C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Gfx\Race Find this GalCiv2\Gfx\Race and put them in there. They should be PNG and be 128X128 and should probably be named RaceLogo1212132 or something.
You can't change the description on the game, but you can change the generic descriptions by editing the XML. Good suggestion though.
Hello, I have seen 2 planets that are pure black. When I colonized them, the planet map was pure black along with the galaxy view. I clicked on each square and it shows up as different terrain types. My Specs: AMD Athalon XP 3000+ Windows XP 1 gb ram ATI X800 pro Beta 0.91 I'm running this off of an external hard drive.
I have a few questions on the game. 1: I did not get altarian prophesy, will the story be related to that? And if it is then could a get a link or a summary of the story of altarian prophesy, so I'm not left confused and wondering about the story. 2: How long is the campaign going to be? Will you be able to choose your civilization or will you have to have a certain one?
Click on pre-order and order the game from stardock directly.
Hehe, I had a prison break and one of their ships had 900 hps!, it took out my best starship ... It only had 1 mass driver...
Your drivers are old. They might be the problem. Get new ones at www.ati.com, and download catalyst 5.12
Download StarDock central and register your copy of galciv 2, after an hour or two you can download the beta.
Thanks, I pre-ordered it on cd!
Hold on, I sent the offline email activation, hopefully this will work.
I installed it onto a flash drive, it won't allow me to play on another computer that isn't the computer it activated on.
I have too. I'm only 14 and my parents don't allow internet on the gaming computer. I have to use another computer to go onto the internet and download items.
Hello, I recently preordered and I recieved the beta, but I want to play the game on a computer that does not have the internet. I activated it on one with the internet and now it will not run on the non-internet computer. Does anyone know any solutions? I've tried copying it to a flash drive and an external hard drive but it doesn't want to run on the non-internet computer.
Hello, I am thinking of pre-ordering Galcivs 2 off of stardock and I had a few q's. -Will the final product be shipped on a cd (or dvd)? -Will I get the same stuff that is included if I went to any retail store? -How big is the beta?
