Found the solution! IconPackager must have altered the registry. In the registry editor, in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42042206-2D85-11D3-8CFF-005004838597} under Old Icon there are folders for FirefoxHTML and htmlfile . If you look in the default icon subfolder under each of them, it gives the path to the icon used in each instance. Under FirefoxHTML

I have had some problems with IconPackager a while ago, see Link , which I thought I had solved, but seeing SilverBullet38's post in the abovementioned thread made me look into the (appearantly unsolved) problem again. By the way, if anyone knows how to solve the issue with the icons for html and htm in the thread I mentioned, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Silverbullet38, I also use firefox, and have the same problem: I can't change the icons for HTM and HTML to the firefox ones (ff is already set as the default browser and to open that file type on my comp, but if I click "change" then "firefox" and "ok" it changes the icon in the preview only and the "advanced" button becomes "restore"; going through "advanced: change icon" also only changes the icon in the preview). Hi, I downloaded the e-mail checker docklet a while ago, but don't use it much (I don't like that I can't change the frequency with which it checks for new e-mails). Am I supposed to somehow uninstall it, or is it enough that I dragged it off the dock, closed ObjectDock, went into C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Docklets and deleted the folder "E-mail Checker"? Is there anything else I should do or delete to remove all t

I downloaded IP to see what it had to offer, looked through the icon options (but did not change any of my icons/settings) and decided that I did not want to change any icons at all. I uninstalled it easily enough, but as soon as the uninstall wizard finished, some of my settings changed, such as: 1.
