Hi Everyone, Some of you may know me but I guess a lot won't. I used to be a a skinner and Moderator on Deviantart. Its been over 8 years since I created a Windowblind but i've always been lurking, keeping an eye on the community. I would like to try and pick up where I left off and create some new themes but also step up my game. What Skinstudio version is it now but most importantly, what skins would people like to see, if at all? :-)

@Neil .. I use SK5 for XP because I like the way I can see the element on the skin and how it reacts, instead of it showing on a blank backround. I also like the way I can click an element and it takes me to the section instead of having to look for the section in SK7 ;)

Here's a little question I've been pondering so I hope someone can answer :-) Your gonna think this is a long way round to do something but it's just something I got used to lol I would start by creating a skin in SK5. When I had finished I would duplicate it too create another substyle. I would then open this new substyle in SK6 and add all the elements for Vista. Now I still do this but use SKS7 instead of SK6. If I was just to create my skin in SK5 and t

Hi everyone. Hope this is the proper place to post this [e digicons]^_^[/e] For those who do not know me, I am the Skins & Themes Gallery Moderator on DeviantART [e digicons][/e] I am trying to steer the customization community in a whole new direction, a one that's long over due and needed IMO. I don't want to copy and paste my newsletter here and create double the amount of reading so I would like to link you to it <a href="http://news.devian

I'm repsecting the honesty in the judging. I may not agree on some aspects but that's solely due to the fact that individuals are different. I would be lying if I said that I was not disappointed by the verdict on my skin. Critique is part and parcel of this game and I've learned to accept it and hopefully grown from it. Who likes hearing negativity about their work anyway? ;-) I'm a little confused about the verdict on my skin. One comment was "The title bar text falls

How something that can change your OS in a way that nothing else can, be classed as old and outdated, is beyond me. You know of a newer program that offers everything windowblinds does, that's 110% issue free and freeware? NO? then it's hardly old and outdated is it? Shame there is still people that expect everything their way and handed free too them on a plate.
Good review. My only qualms is the restriction on showing screenshots. Jeff has been very vocal about trashing the quality of the MyColors themes. I am sure we are all very anxious to see their msstyles put up head to head with existing WindowBlinds skins or MyColors themes.
Thank you ;-). I was limited to what I could show and I had to honour that, as frustrating to people it may be.

The very first crop circles were later admitted to be hoaxes. Every single one since then are also hoaxes since the initial idea was man made. Of course there is still people that think advanced lifeforms are coming to this planet, across vast distances of space, jumping dimensions etc, just to push patterns in grass. Those are the people that have been smoking too much of it.

Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong here? It's that little bit of white on the images im importing that's causing me problems. You can see on the right, surrounded by red, what i'm importing. I've noticed some other skins using the images with the white on but it seems to not be a problem like it is on mine. They are bmp's. Im not setting any transparency. Is there something i'm missing to ma

Is it just me or has anyone noticed that when you apply a skin (on vista) that you have just updated for vista using SK6, the skin seems to apply a slightly different shade to the elements you just created? Lets say I have a light blue theme created in SK5. I open it in SK6 to add the vista bits. After its all done, the new bits i've added are slightly a darker light blue in shade to the originals. I have also noticed that skins are applying a slightly different shade to wha

Hi. Can anyone tell me the things that have been updated or fixed with this build? I can't find any info on the update before I update because I had a time getting it to work in the first place. I am having an issue with wb6 though. It seems that the skin is applying a slightly different shade to the original skin or the new parts of vista I skinned in ss6 were a slightly different shade to my original images. Is this bug because ss6 was a trial and still beta or does the new wb6.2 fix this i

Neil: problem solved and wb6 running fine. It seems it was SDC even though i just updated it. I installed from wb6.exe and its perfect. So if anyone has a similar issue I would say it was SDC missing files on download or something. Ive only ever had probs with updating wb's from there and not through exe installs *update I spoke too soon *
