Thanks for the idea MrPerky. When I started wearing contacts, about 15 years ago, the doctor recommended rgp's because they are supposed to keep your eyes from changing shape, ie, changing prescription, which mine did quite frequently. I've just gotten so used to them now that I don't think it makes much difference to me. The care is minimal, and they are very durable. Someday I might consider getting laser surgery. Some of my friends have

I'd never heard of replacing them every year either. I was told you should have them polished/cleaned every year, but whatever. I trust that I'll go another good 3-5 years before remembering to visit the eye doctor.

It can't not be said. Wonderful show gentlemen. While some of the usual 'superstars' may not have played up their potential, they again showed how to pull it together and do what needs to be done. You never seem to know whose game is going to be "on," which is reason enough to tune in. Artest getting his was the icing on the cake. Props to Taysh

I finally admitted that 5-6 years of wearing the same contact lenses (well lense - one was replaced about 3 years ago after a bar fight -- not as good a story as it sounds), it was time to break down and visit the eye doctor. (Thanks to Cari for a great recommendation.) According to Dr L, I'm "a contact lense addict." Do you ever give your eyes a break?: "Wh

It's a bit of a shot in the dark, but have you ever considered swimming or water aerobics? I've heard swimming can be very good exercise, and perhaps would allow you to work out your body with minimal stress to your problem areas. Otherwise, hang in there. I've no doubt you'll come out okay, and remember to lean on support group - whoever they may be.

So has anyone else experienced the genious that is the Osbournes? (Reality show on MTV about Ozzy Osbourne and his most disfunctional family.) I have found it to be the most wasted 30 minutes of my week, and yet I look forward to each new episode. http://www.mtv.com/onair/osbournes/

Wow, 74. I wonder if he has a special Birthday sweater. I heard somewhere though that it was his mother that knitted all those sweaters. Well, Happy Birthday to the man. He competed with Mr. Dressup for my affections when I was little. But his puppets were much better.

Elfkura, I would have to agree that if it's meant to be, your relationship will stand the test. But, if I read correctly above, you said you're about 2 hours from where he lives. That's really not that far you know. It would make a perfect day trip. Or, the two of you could meet somewhere in the middle and spend several hours together. I can understand your stance on phone and electronic correspondence. The physical interaction is so important to me too. It's not

Darn it. That still leaves me out. Guess I'll have to do something brilliant and get promoted. Or, more likely, I'll just get used to the banners.
