I get tired of getting excited when I see patch notes that 'fix' a known issue then find the issue still there. :( It is mildy humorous to see the same item in 4-5 sets of patch notes in a row though.
Harkonis
ran into this today, completely killed my desire to play the game.
I agree that it's a bit too unbalanced. you do need a penalty for dying, but as it is right now you lose the gold you would earn, lose the control of the map due to being dead, you give the other team gold (and a lot of it), you give the other team xp. it all adds up to a rather huge swing. You do take longer to come back based on level how it is right now btw, and I think the respawn time is fine. personally I think the gold/xp reward is what is a problem.

But at the same time, it would be foolish to think that the game is perfectly balanced and that no one could ever cheat,
I save my level 3 pick for level 5 and at 5 i get foul grasp and post mortem and have a huge jump in effectiveness. Clearing creeps is super fast with post mortem and obviously you need foul grasp asap to interupt. i enjoy the boost Furious Blade gives, though for an ooze centric build poisoned dagger works really well too.
I know that, but by the time you realize it's happening and click to move, then click to use an ability or attack, they are out of range. This is the problem. It's not like I stay stuck forever because I can't move. :P
I'm pretty furious right now. There is nothing much more frustrating to me than having the same person barely get away with double digit life again and again because my UB just sits there staring at them as I furiously click on them with attack and ability orders. I was happy for the day or two I got to play without the bug happening, but it's back full force. Back to another game until it's sorted out.... again.
Don't let the small size of the map fool you, TP scrolls are really important on this map due to the layout. flag lock/TP on the gold flag (and later on flags near the enemy base) can be crucial here. I've had good success as UB with a Rook partner where he'll maintain the main lane and the xp flag while I keep the other two flags and assist him when needed. Was a pretty stellar setup. It did seem like to get to the light citadel you needed to go close
[quote who="Zygwen" reply="3" id="2207648"]Interesting analysis. Boots of Speed give 10% movement increase for 1000 Swift Anklet gives 15% movement increase so I'd value it at about 1500 to 2500 Charm of Life also reduces death penalty by 10% so it should be worth atleast 1000 Magic Coin Purse allows you to buy upgrades 10% sooner. In my opinion, for an all minion build Ring of Divine Might is the way to go if you don't get Swift Anklet o
A simple thing I think that might help the balance is if Bestial Wrath was an instant switch it would be useful enough that spit might not be as amazing. I have tried non-spit builds and they can do really well mid to late game but early game it's hard to compete with a good spit build.
I was fine a day ago, but now I can't connect to one friend in particular who I've played with many times before. We're just stalling out when he tries to join and he's showing all ports open on tests.
[quote who="Kasapinas" reply="17" id="2201761"]While the skill surely needed the nerf, some other ones could be boosted to compensate. Anyway, I am hoping for similiar nerfs on spit, the towers of light, and that drain thingy on UB. EDIT: To the whines about it being the only way - not it is not. The skill isn't removed. It is just being brought in line with the others. Erebus still has his super damaging minions, mist and bat swarm. He can still refill his hp bar
I used to bad mouth ooze a lot, but after doing the math then hopping in and proving the math I can't say it's not a good ability. even at level 1 you're taking 20dps to yourself, but dealing 35dps to everything around you AND stopping 10% of their autoattack. That right there is a good deal. Once you get to the end with 140dps and stopping 40% of their autoattack, you're unstoppable with decent armor. Also remember it stops 40% of the autodamage from

witchdocta, it's not the question which spawned all the replies... it's your attitude which is quite frankly pretty shitty. No reason to be professional to someone spamming the official forums repeating the same question and demanding personal responses to a question that nobody has an answer to other than 'when it's done'. You are the one getting pissy and sensitive and then projecting it on others.
I am now having sound issues that I didn't have before the new patch. Sound cuts out for a couple seconds, then comes back with a loud pop. Happens every now and then.
[quote who="farnigus" reply="1" id="2181104"]HOL is not overpowered. For most games, its actually cheaper to just buy potions. Over the course of your average game, use potions instead of the HOL -- you'll find that you probably didn't use >10 potions (which is the cost of the HOL). Potions are cheaper, and let you buy other items at the same time. Early game advantages translating into late game advantage is the key to the game, and the by the time you've saved enough for the HOL, you wer
I really wish we could have blind selection of our demigod. I run into people a lot who change to Erebus or Oak when they see me choose UB. I realize those two are good counters, but I'm faced with either counter picking and possibly starting a back and forth that doesn't end, or being at a slight disadvantage due to their counterpick. If all the people pick their DG sight unseen I think it would be a more even playing field.
*sigh* favor points still borked. had 960 one game, bought the swift anklet, next game had 0 and no items. really messed up when the opponent can buy swift anklet and you can't, can lose the game from the start because of it.
I take one level of mist just to cancel UB's spit and to use in response to Rook's hammer raising. A friend I play with gets pretty pissed when he plays Rook vs me and I always go intangible a split second before the hammer hits, then pop back out bite, bat, dead.
two spits early is only 800 damage and I guarantee that that isn't enough to kill a regulus. do the math and you'll see that the actual dps of spit isn't very good until the last upgrade. it's the range and annoyance that is ticking people off. I'd rather get hit by 1500 over 10 seconds than 1050 in one blast from TB. Not to mention that in the 10 seconds spit takes to do 1500 I'll likely take two 1050's from TB.
Here's a video of the problem as experienced by UB. I intentionally didn't issue a move order to cancel the bug becuase I'm showing the bug itself and not how to cancel it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K79VAN_ZYCc
This single bug is a pretty big gamebreaker for me. The number of times it happens in any given game is a good enough reason for me to give up on playing the game period. It's such a frustrating thing.
I lose the effects of both the ring and the brambles if I zoom out past a certain point (which is pretty low) I also lose those effects if my effects fidelity is anything lower than the highest.
Sedna's Heal, Erebus Bite, UB Spit, and Parasite Egg are the ones that happen all the time to me.
