I tried those, but to no avail. Thanks. I thought there might have been a cause that was fixable.

There are entries in my event viewer that do not appear until installing the latest version of Window Blinds (even previous versions did this) If I uninstall Window Blinds, the warnings stop. There seems to be a conflict between PSP 8 and Window Blinds. With Window Blinds installed, each time I open Paint Shop Pro 8, it puts entries in my event viewer, about 4 total.
