The Stardock Central Skins and Themes browser doesn't display thumbnails images in the Wallpaper library. I can get no browser view of the thumbnails. I can, at least, get the large preview to work, which keeps me from downloading a bunch of stuff I end up not wanting, but it's more than a little annoying. The only way I can get the thumbnail to display is to actually download the file. Then I see that thumbnail, but still not all of them. This problem used to occur only in the WindowBlinds cate
How about these: Link Link
Sorry, CerebroJD, but next time put the actual link where it says Link ;). Then it won't be invisible in the post! I'll take a look at these, now that I can see the link data...
Just as a closing word- OF COURSE I installed it in a non-default location. If given a choice, I never install apps onto my C drive! If I did that, I'd have to have a 500 gig C volume and defrags (if possible at all) would take all day. Not to mention what would happen to you and truckloads of data if something munges the boot drive. -- so, I have to assume that it's my native talent at breaking software at work here. Kosati, I will assume that you simply didn't think deeply about the que
Sorry, this is probably the wrong category, since it's the Stardock Central Skins and Themes browser. Now the problem has switched from the WB library to the Wallpaper library. I can get no browser view of the thumbnails. I can, at least, get the large preview to work, which keeps me from further disaster, but it's more than a little annoying.---- Now I'm having problems with this editor. ---first, the system- Windows XP Pro SP-2 (up to date as of this posting. Java 6 (also up to date). SD and a
I just installed the new update and when I open the Libraries, I only see tile or thumbnail titles with no pictures. The Large Preview works perfectly.
Ok, the situation is this- I recently had a main hard drive die on me. I replaced it and went about rearranging the software I was able to recover as well as reinstalling software I couldn't recover. With the Stardock folders, I had to move the whole thing in order to conform to the new usage layout I wanted. I installed the newest version of SDC (2.48.486 build 160) in the new location. I opened the Tools / Settings / Advanced pane. I changed the drive listed from F to D in bo
When I click the link on the News page, I get a YouTube page that tells me that I either have JavaScript turned off or I don't have the newest player. Neither of those is true. I specifically have JavaScript turned on and I'm using the latest version of Java (5.0 update 6). I also clicked their link that installed what they say is the latest player. I made sure none of my security settings were blocking things (as far as I can tell), so I'm not sure what the deal is.
Well, it's truth. The default skin folder was set to a non-existent path and clicking the Edit Skin in SkinStudio button did nothing visible at all. You should be able to recreate the scenario, if you really want to.
Yep, I do. I just this minute found out what was wrong - you have to configure SkinStudio to tell it where default skin folders are or it won't work at all. I only discovered this by trying to start it as a standalone, just to see if it was working at all. Needless to say, NOT putting a notice into WindowBlinds OR not having SkinStudio pick this info up on its own from Object Desktop config files is just plain dumb. At the very least, doing this would save Stardock (and its users) lots
I can't get Skin Studio to edit the currently installed skin. I open WindowBlinds Configuration, right-click on the skin currently installed, pick Edit in Skin Studio, but nothing happens.
Your reply only makes sense IF IT WORKS. Which it doesn't. Using SDC to download has been broken since yesterday and is still down at this time. I simply provided the previous post to give others with the same problem (more than likely everybody) some time reference point. Reading the original posts, one MIGHT conclude that the problem had been fixed. Obviously it hasn't <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Mad.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle"
For what it's worth, the download server is STILL out. Since I just had to reinstall several apps, this is causing me great headaches.
All you DX wizards out there and no-one has done a multi-display, multi-time-zone clock? Amazing! Well, let's hope someone takes a shot at it, some day.
I installed Stardock Central / Object Desktop and most of the apps under them. At some point, doing that has removed my ability to click on 'Help and Support' from the Start menu and run it. I can click, but nothing happens. This has happened TWICE, now. Doing a system restore fixes things until I reinstall Object Desktop and or one of the underlying apps. I haven't pinned it down to which one kills Help (YET), but it's terribly annoying. Any kind
I've only had the Pro version installed for a few days, but already I find it useless. I had the demo version installed and that worked fine. Then I uninstalled the demo version and installed the Pro version and nothing has worked right, since. The problem is that the cursor refuses to 'stick' to the secondary system. I move the cursor and it switches over (usually) withhout a problem, but it switches back within seconds, long before I hav
