Disabled Win XP Help & Support

I installed Stardock Central / Object Desktop and most of the apps under them. At some point, doing that has removed my ability to click on 'Help and Support' from the Start menu and run it. I can click, but nothing happens. This has happened TWICE, now. Doing a system restore fixes things until I reinstall Object Desktop and or one of the underlying apps. I haven't pinned it down to which one kills Help (YET), but it's terribly annoying. Any kind of input on this? Or a work-around?

Are you using the new version of iconpackager -- i only used that program and it casued the exact same thing to happen. Also if you have office, try to open a word or excel doc from the desktop or my documents folder -- it would load for me, but at least i know whats causing it-- ill wait for the patch.

go to the folder where the file iprepair.dll is (the iconpackager folder). Start a command box (Start>run>cmd) and type regsvr32 /u iprepair.dll. Then reboot. This fixed all the problems I was having with iconpackager and I could still use it.

Uninstall Enhanced Dialog. The same thing happened to several people with a couple of Enhanced Dialog builds.

Well, I restored Windows and that took care of it. Maybe IconPackager was slightly updated since then, because it hasn't happened again (yet).

I DID have to uninstall Enhanced Dialog, though. Where the standard Windows icons (up a level, new folder, etc.) display, to the right of the folder tree drop-down box, I would try to put the mouse cursor on that area and the drop-down box would expand to cover the standard icons. This is not good if you want to create a new folder!
