Please download/extract http://sd.stardock.com/lh_update_exe_remove.zip to the FE: LH directory and overwrite the existing 2 files. Go ahead and launch the game by hitting Play in Steam. This will be in the beta update today. This should sort the Norton and McAfee issues for anyone not running Windows XP Home (in that case, ignore those 2 files and launch FE: LH from the LegendaryHeroes.exe directly). If you are still having problems, please post back with the exact OS,

They are little stub exe's meant to fixup specific packaging/install issues, they're really doing almost nothing. I have made a debug version of the one available at http://sd.stardock.com/lh_remove_prefs.exe Save that any directory and then run it. It should pop up message boxes that say 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and then exit. Where does it get to in the sequence? Kris
Braden, I'm asking Rob McElroy to get in touch with you to discuss whether using an internal license server would be more appropriate for your environment. Kris
That was my bad (the dialog messages, was testing timing). If you install DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 are the dreams happy? Kris
There is a 2.09.1 beta update available from the account page on the store or from https://stardock.cachefly.net/ObjectDock_2.09_beta_setup.exe. This fixes the onSameMonitor crash. The "start button" on ObjectDock 2.1's beta will pull up Start8's start menu (if Start8 is installed). Kris
Norton is flipping out because it hasn't seen those particular updates to those files in the wild before. They're fine. We're trying to whitelist all new updates through Norton as we release them, but it takes time to go through their process. Kris

Exactly when does this message come up? When first launching the install? During the install? After the finish panel of the install? When running the app? Are you running Windows 8 regular, Pro, or Enterprise? Or Server 2012? Is 1.03 still happy? http://sd.stardock.com/Start8_1.03_setup.exe Kris
Hello. There is not currently a Spanish language file. You can create one by copying the lang\en.lng to lang\es.lng and translating the second part of the lines. Be sure to save the file with Unicode encoding. If you want to send a copy of that to kwilas at stardock.com, I'll see that you get credit and a free copy of Object Desktop (which includes Start8).
Give this a shot please: http://sd.stardock.com/SkinStudio740_remove.exe Kris
I've made an update available that addresses activation and multiplayer login on Windows 8. If you are using Steam, the game will automatically update to this version. If your install is through Impulse, the update was published there as well. New installs from the Stardock store have the updated files going forward. To update previous standalone installs from the Stardock store, you can grab a patch from https://stardock.cachefly.net/Demigod_network_update_111612.exe. This
