I can't believe this is not in.Its been in every galciv and very handy strategically.

Hatchet job.No way IV is a 5 while CG3 release version is a 8.
I have played this game since GC2 and do not have even close to 12 major battles each turn. This is pretty lame excuse. The pointless one sided battles do not need to be played.
Moving said bigger fleet to planet or enemy said fleet is just a very bland system compared to other games in this genre..No choke points, tactical combat or positioning at all.I see they even got rid of weapons range going back to GC2 era.It will keep this game small fry compared to the big dogs in this genre.
Like someone said look at Dominions tactical combat. It is fast but the planning could be used well for space battles. I also think ships should have chance to retreat.I always felt it made experience ships far too throw away. You never got attached to any.
Marxists are in.
It was too good a deal, heh.
Is there anything actually political about the factions.
Great.I do like internal politics which is greatly missing in this genre.
I mean this one when you could at a glance know what is going on.
I like this. The survey part in the series was always a bit dull.credits,10% at a certain tech, etc.
I am wondering what benefit the sector system adds to the game.I prefer the normal one big map galaxies with the added space lanes GC3 added.
I don't see this in the diplomacy UI.This is very much needed for that at the glace political situation without spending ages looking at each factions relations.
Those commander ships do not look very Human.
Listening post.
If it has no interaction ala retreat, cards I see no need.
Grow up.
Amazing game but sure does crash a lot so this is hopeful.
Oh my. I've only played small maps thus far. So far, its taken me over 500 turns to beat them. I can only imagine what 100+ sectors will do.
It begs the question how does it scale with it.The tech trees with be maxed out with half the game done, etc.
I would love combat in GC4 and don't agree with the statements about too many battles per turn etc. It's their game and they just don't want tactical combat so no point going on about it anymore for this series.
Not going to happen.
But I wanted GC3 with new graphics.Just kidding.
With a game with no tactical combat I dont really understand the point of putting so many resources into a lego designer. It also means the ships never look that good compared to say ES2.
One thing I would to see is the A.I disbanding shipyards that are lost around invaded planets.Loads just sit around spamming the map.
