Yes there is Unhide your taskbar and start a normal search, but don't search for anything. Drag the little magnifying glass from the results to your dektop creating a shortcut. Drag the shortcut to your bar and rename it (Search - or whastever) Change icon to hi rez version from supplied icons There ya go

I have lock dragging off and I can't move any docklets or shortcuts at all...
