It didn't take long to get a DWM crash with v6.01 and Win7. Doesn't seem to fix it. Can't seem to be able to attach snapshots to my post.

Just letting you know that Google Chrome blocks the download of WB 8.13 from "My Account". It flags it as malicious software.
I went under my account, but all I see are WindowFX 2, 4 and 6. No 5.15.
I need to revert back to WinFX 5.15. v6.0 is crashing Explorer or WDM multiple times a day on my Dell Precision M4800 (with Win 7). v5.15 never caused me issues, though, so I'd like to revert back to that version. However, I only find download links to v6.0... Thanks
LCore.exe There is also an issue launching the game SimCity (the one EA just released) under Win8. Simcity.exe stops responding and I can't get in the game unless I unload WB or excluse that file.
I can confirm the issue with Logitech Gaming Framework. I had to add it to the exception list so it doesn't get skinned. It's the only way to make it work.
Installed the latest build 0028 and the high CPU usage issue has been resolved. It is barely using any now. Good job!!
I fixed the issue with Multiplicity. The version entry in the registry was saying 1.80 even though I installed 1.90 at least 3 times. By manually changing that value, then SDC stopped prompting to update it. It is still constantly reporting Fences 2, though. UPDATE: Fixed the issue by fixing the "Version" entry under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Stardock\Misc\Fences2 I entered value "2.00" and SDC stopped reporting on it.
I'm having the same issue with both Fence 2.0 beta and Multiplicity 2.0 beta. SDC keeps reporting time that they need to me updated everytime. I do not have the FencesPro registry entry as mentioned above, but I do have the old Multiplicity 1 entry.
The CPU usage hits in the 20% instantly upon startup and never goes down. It fluctuates between 18% and 25%, but 20% is an average. In the Help tab, I see Multiplicity v2.0 build 00024. Only the primary is experiencing this. The secondary (the guest) does not. I have rebooted the secondary several times with no effect on the primary.
I installed new Multiplicity 2 beta (1.90) and it is still consuming between 20 and 25% of CPU power constantly regardless if the guest is connected or not. Memory consumption is quite low, but CPU consumption never goes down. I submitted a ticket weeks ago, but it's been silent since I sent the log files requested.
That's weird. I use VMWare Workstation 8.0.4 as well and do not have this problem. Did you try to press CTRL-ALT to free the keyboard from the VM? If your VM isn't running the latest VMWare tools, I can see the keyboard not being released when the mouse is moved out.
Just sent an email. Thanks.
I have the latest beta of Multiplicity 2 with 1 host and 1 guest. MULTIPL2.EXE on the host is constantly consuming about 20% of the CPU power as reported by Task Manager. And that is regardless if it is connected to the guest or not. Does not seem to happen on the guest, though.
I installed WinFX5 that shows up under my account (site says v5.0, but file details says v5.1) on a machine that never had WindowFX installed. I compared and can confirm that I am not missing any files. Somehow, it still says v5.0 instead of v5.1. I already filed a support request last week about the explorer crash and received DLL updates that worked. This is not about that. It's more a confusion about what I am downloading and what I should be seeing to c
The store or my own Stardock.com account still says v5.0. But if I download the file and look at the details, it says v5.1. That's even before doing any installation. So before I can even tell what I'm running, I don't know what I'm downloading... And SDC reports nothing to update... Zubaz, let me ask you. Where should I be seeing v5.1 mentioned to confirm a complete and successful update?
Ok so I downloaded WindowFX5-Setup.exe from my account. The details of the file says v5.1.0.0. When installed, wfx4.dll and wfx4_64.dll becomes dated June 18th. However, the software's EXE still reports itself as 5.0.0.3. In the WindowsFX control panel, it still shows v5.0. The two DLLs I mentioned still show v5.0 (5.0.1.0 to be precise) despite their newer creation date. Stardock has got to get this straight. I'm not sure what I'm runni
Not so accustomed since I always used their delivery softwares which have been accurate in the majority of cases. But now you're remind me how old I am.... :P I'll give it a try. Thanks! :D
Where can I find version 5.1? All I see on my account is v5.0. I also checked download.com and it's also v5.0.
The uninstall of WinFX4 for me didn not complete properly. Despite showing everything being successful, the process was still in memory and the DLLs didn'get deleted (Win7 64bit, SP1). After uninstallation, I had to manually kill the processes and then delete all files. THEN I installed WinFX5 and it worked. I'm surprised that there isn't an open animation choice for menus. They is only close animations for menus. Why is that? Is this so
It's working now. The uninstall of WFX4 wasn't clean. The process remained up and the DLLs remained locked. I manually killed all that, deleted the files, installed WFX5 new and it's all working now.
Wobbly Windows doesn't work and so does Window Flip. It's enabled in WFX5, but it's not working. Mind you, I have WB4 and DeskScapes running as well. Not sure if there's a conflict. Minimize/Maximize animations work, though. Just not the new features.
Yup. Figured it out after posting. Start menu animation doesn't work for me so far. No matter what I choose, it doesn't animate on open. I noticed that while there's a close animation configuration for menus, there isn't a way to configure the open animation. There's no "Menu" tab. In any case, menu animation doesn't work either.
The download link worked for me and I have WFX 5 beta 1 installed. But it requires a serial number. Oh well...
I used your link and the download worked. I got it too! I wonder why it was pulled, though.
