I did understand what you were saying. Evidently the issue was with how I tested. There seems to be a little "memory" of what the color settings were on a per-account basis. When I logged into my domain account this morning, it was a hideous green (at least for the background) that was set for my local account. When I opened WB, the configuration screen showed that it should have been purple. The issue with my testing seems to deal with the exact procedure I

Perhaps a feature request to save color settings in the user's AppData folder?
That's probably because the skins and its settings are located and saved in the "Public Documents" folder, not in user specific ones. Like this: "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds" And all users have access to the Public Documents.
Yes, all users do have access to public docs. I don't think that explains my second scenario, where I recolored a different blind (Diamond) and my
Forgive me if using WB8 in a multi-user environment is against the EULA, but I've found the color settings get shared among my two administrator accounts on Windows 8. (I know that this isn't best security practice.) To replicate: Log into one user account Select skin and recolor (purple (row 1, column 5) on account 1) Log out Log into other user account Select skin and recolor (green (row 3, column 3) on account 2,
Woo! We're one day closer to the release of WindowBlinds 8! In unrelated news, I saw a unicorn today.
Thanks for understanding.
Worth a try. :)
Is it possible to get an estimate of how far into testing WinBlinds 8 is? I'm a developer, so I know that giving a 50% complete may not budge for a week or more because of having to find the cause of the error. I also won't be surprised if there's no response to avoid having other people take a comment out of context.
It sounds like you're talking about ObjectDock, correct? And then you're stating that if you allow ObjectDock to hide the task bar you can't see the system tray? If I recall correctly, there's an applet or setting to show the system tray on the dock, though I don't recall if that was a Plus feature or not. Edit: I haven't used ObjectDock since version 1.9, about three years ago, so my information may be outdated.
Banned for referencing Johnny Cash.
I asked the Magic 8 Ball about WindowBlinds coming out today. I got "Outlook looks hazy" followed by "Get a life."
Good morning! Today's a wonderful day to not have our favorite Windows customization tool released.
Just one?
Obviously, yes, as he doesn't want to click the karma button five times since the forum updated.
Can we stop discussing how people may or may not interpret humor/sarcasm and let this thread get back to pestering SD as to when WindowBlinds 8 is coming out?
Stardock's customers pay because the products are of a high quality and more than worth the price. To ensure they stay that way the CORRECT amount of time/effort is taken to make them right. Microsoft did a fine job of 'visually' castrating Windows 8, so now it is up to Stardock to restore the 'pretty'. It's not something time-controlled/related to a date of an SDK release. Windowblinds isn

Uninstalling and reinstalling has StealthOS displaying the full filename, so problem solved. Looking in the fonts defined for Outer Limits, the only vStyler skin I have installed at the moment, I see Aston-F1 font, which I don't have. I also see a lot of fonts defined at size -11 or -12. For example, alphatitle is Segoe UI, -11. Grouped is Tahoma, -12. I wonder if that has something to do with creating my problem.
I'll try, but this behavior has been going on since I installed WB6.0, and it might have happened with WB5 as well. Since it can't be duplicated, I'm going to guess that something funny in Windows is getting tripped. Results will be over two hours from now, as I need to go finish getting ready to go to work.
Here's the same directory as the most current screen while using Diamond (by Stardock Design): WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.3 (b
Fonts in StealthOS: Arial, Microsoft Sans Serif, and Tahoma.
Sorry for the delay, I've been watching the Saints lose. I've seen this with Vienna 2, Vienna 3, Outer Limits, Leo (by Stardock Design, contrary to earlier post). I'm currently on StealthOS. This happens with any file type, or even directories. The Winamp icons are just because I'm working in that directory and could easily grab a screen. Here's a screen of the same thing happening to Excel. <img src="http://img504.ima
Ah, yes. I'm using List view, so I don't have any column sizes that I know of.
I believe that this is related to font settings stored in the skins, but can't figure out where. In Windows Explorer I have filenames randomly shortened and finished off with ellipses. The annoying thing is that I can ususally see the first letter of the extension. I also have filenames that are longer than a shortened one display in their entirety. This tends to happen with the non-Stardock Design skins, which is why I believe this is a font setting. (I'm lo
I doubt the original download was bad, because the menu works perfectly for a while. It might have something to do with my machine being a laptop and stuff getting confused when switching from LCD to dock, since I am using an Intel integrated graphics chip. I figure switching from SDC to Impulse was just coincidence, but I threw it in for completeness. Btw, it's really hard to redownload a skin that comes bundled with WB, such as Diamond by StarDock Design. When tha
I'm running GalCiv2:DA in windowed mode, and it always starts up in the top left corner of my window. However, this is a minor annoyance because I'm using Windowblinds/Object Dock plus so my machine looks a lot more like a Mac than Windows. This means the titlebar is hidden by the taskbar, as well as the first 2 or 3 lines of pixels. Is there some way to force GC2 to respect where the taskbar is in windowed mode or to edit the prefs.ini to ha
