It may have something to do with a benevolent trait where I gain control of any starbase or colony in my territory - for a while the colonies were switching back and forth between me and Drenging. But I don't get it compared to the Drengin my influence was pretty low.

It cant be influence because the Drengin have the most influence. And the Iridium are still alive. One of the planets switched back to Drengin but now switched back to me. I have very little influence there though. [e digicons]:|[/e]
For some reason I just randomly annexed 2 colonies from the Iridium corporation who I'm not at war with and these colonies were in drengin space who I am at war with. Anyone know what's with that and how did that happen?
So I am playing mostly benevolently and the Thalan Contingency is playing pragmatically - according to the diplomatic report on them. But it subtracts two for opposing ideologies. Is it just me or do they not really seem to oppose each other?
Hi, When I zoom out the strategic map can be a bit noisy is there any way, possibly through a mod, to enable and disable icons that appear on the map? Thanks.
Thanks for all the responses everyone. I definitely wasn't expecting so many replies. I've looked into Rainlendar Pro before, but its more than just google calendar I would like to be able to display on my desktop, I would also like to be able to have my rememberthemilk.com tasks appear right on my desktop too. There may be another web app that would be nice to have on my desktop too. I think it would be great if you could partit
So, I have been a long time supporter of the games Stardock has produced and published. I bought Galactic Civilizations I and II, and loved Sins of a Solar Empire. Now its time for me to be more productive. I really like the idea of organizing my desktop with the Fences program, but I'm also looking for two more things. I would like to be able to have a bar, lets say on the left hand side of the screen that says "Applications" and when I click it all my application s
I posted about a year ago that anomalies werent regenerating and was told this was a known bug, but its now April 2007 and it still doesnt look like this bug was ever resolved. Will we ever have anomolies that regenerate. How am I ever supposed to build my galactic superpower built purely off of peaceful exploration!?
I've noticed a few bugs with rally points. First of all if I click the button to tell a colony to send its ship to a specific rally point and there are enough rally points on the list that you have to scroll down, then the game wont let you scroll down at all and you can only send your ships to about four or so rally points. Does that make sense? Also, if you have a rally point on top of a starbase then theres no way to delete the rally point.</font
So do they respawn now?
Ok, I read in the manual that defenses not geared towards their intended weapon (ie shields vs. mass drivers) will defend at the square root of their value. Does this mean that ECM and point defenses in general can defend against mass drivers and beam weapons?? Thanks.

I thought I read somewhere that anomolies were supposed to respawn, but I've never seen this happen??
Hi, just got a quick question for the developers? I was wondering if you guys plan to have better algorithms for the camera in the combat viewer perhaps in a future patch? Its a great feature, but right now for the life of me I cant find a good camera to give me a good view of the battle.
Nooo....Im so sad that sensor ranges are going to be limited, I really liked having uber sensor boats, any chance that the sensor range cap will be removed later?
Is there any way I can bring up a list of all the modules I can currently install on starbases?
Ok, not sure if this is a bug, is there a limit to sensor ranges? Because I constructed a ship that should have 35 sensor range, but when I construct it and put it into action, it only has a sensor range of 10?? Also what is pc (for sensor range) and sct (for ship ranges)?
Oh cool, thanks!
Ok, so Im in the middle of a game right now and for some reason whenever I try and design a new ship I get a CTD. I had no problems before. And I even tried reloading the game and designing the ship without any jewelery, just the necessary hull, weapons, engines, and modules but still got the CTD. Any thing you guys (stardock developers) want me to post to help you fix the bug?

Dont know if this has been covered, but please tell me there is an auto explore button this time for scouts and survey ships. It was a real to explore large galaxies without some kind of auto explore button in GalCiv1.
