Anomolies still dont regenerate

I posted about a year ago that anomalies werent regenerating and was told this was a known bug, but its now April 2007 and it still doesnt look like this bug was ever resolved. Will we ever have anomolies that regenerate. How am I ever supposed to build my galactic superpower built purely off of peaceful exploration!?

Not a bug. Anomalies don't regenerate.

Some have brought this up as a possibility for the future, but for now the fact of the matter is that they don't regenerate.

yea going by the introduction of the galactic wonder enabling all ships to servey... might actually be worth having somthing 'to' servey!!!

The Galactic Guide Book wouldn't be that useful even if anomalies regenerated. I've built it before (why not), and while it does make the survey modules free, they still take up space. About the same space as 2 sensors. Galactic GB needs to be much cheaper and buildable earlier in the game; that's all there is to it.

That said: someone might find it of SOME use. If you don't have the Eyes, you can load up small hulls with free survey modules and make cheap 40bc sensor ships. Not bad at all.

I have never built the galactic guide book but in it's description it clearly say's that 'all' ships can servey. So if ships without servey modules cannot servey then that description would be an outright lie?

I think it does both, makes them 0 cost (they give a +sensor range bonus) and make ships able to survey without it. I don't often build it though and could just have a bad memory.
