Hey! I am a skin-browser user AND I knew all about the "new" poll. I "surf" too you know, doesn't keep me from Wincustomize web page. Just can't get enough....know what I mean?

Amazing.......at this time of the evening, if you read this thread at a slow pace....one may NEVER finish....for all the "additions" going on. Ths damn thing was growing while I was scrolling! That is an example if an proactive, dynamic community!

Why does the mouse over on the skinbrowser icon state, "I supported wincustomize by purchasing the Skinbrowser." I was under the impression that the skinbrowser was FREE with a subscription? Just when I thought I understood all "this", the plot thickens? I'm not positive but the Skin Comments may not be implemented yet (for submission). by Janitor T-Man - 5/17/2002 11:10:17 PM Comments don't work yet. by Vagrant Frogboy - 5/17/2002 1

I am keeping in mind all the times we are reminded how popular this site has become, the growth this site has achieved in a year, etc., etc., etc. Now, I believe it is realistic to hypothesize that all these "customers" have purchased at least ONE program, if not several. On top of all that, you feel it necessary to apply a charge for "shopping" for skins which use your products? The cost of doing business is not necessarily a concern of your "customers", however, our preceptions of how we ar

Warez = getting "sumthin" for "nuthin". Not too many have $ to spend on software, let alone clothes for the kids, vacations, etc, etc. This "community" is rare in that many seem to have money to burn on self-satisfying hobbies. It all boils down to "the haves" and "the wants." Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

Hey GoodMorphing!!!!!! Up until the time you posted I thought it was me.........so I patiently read you post and you were right! "Got what I wanted", as they say in the ole "Go Fish" game! Appreciate your posting, if it wasn't for you I would still be "up in my nighty!"

Initially I am using the link found in the e-mail I received notifying me of the WB 3.3 update. Then I am directed to use the registered users link, which inturn asks for my name, e-mail address, and serial number of the software I purchased. After inputing the required information, I am told that the link for the update will be e-mailed. Well, surprise, surprise, surprise...............I am the lucky recipient of the link to the ever-so-popular WB 2.2 upgrade!!!!! (Needless to say, then and

No, no component manager with just the WB software I purchased, that component comes with DesktopX only. The problem resides with the automated system Stardock is using, is my guess. Nothing on this end to warrant the repeated emailed link to the WB2.2 update after being notified of a WB update.

This sure is frustrating! Why is it that when I am notified of a registered user upgradefor WB that the confirmation leads me to the 2.2 version? This has occurred time and time again. Is there something that I am missing here, or is it a glitch in the "system". I am interested in the new 3.3 upgrade, how do I go about it with a 2.2 version link? Please help! Yes I have submitted my e-mail address, and my official serial number. (Geez!) Thanks

"ratings should be signed/traceable" What next, the punishment? Are we sitting as judge and jury here, I believe this is taking things abit too far. As far as the rating tied to a comment, great idea, however, hasn't it been brought to mind time and time again that there seems to be a LACK of comments in the first place. If I can make a simple observation, seems like we have brought this thread full cicle...(?)

Ratings vs opinions vs "polling", we all know that statistically we will always have results to either extreme, may they be positive or negative. This is inherent and for as much as we would like to think is unchangable. There will always be those results that are not appropriate or fall outside our expectations. Whether is be the color of the skin, the font, or some other insignificant element, we can't please all of the people all of the time. It should be the average that we focus our atte

I have to chuckle at the "approach" many of these responses exhibit. I feel ultimately it is the "call" of the artist, in this case mormegil, to address this request rather the community. Glad to see that we have "other interested parties," however, I believe we all here have the ability to speak for ourselves. Salute mormegil!

Welllllllll, I am going to keep hammering away at this, too determined to give up this early in the game. I am also spending sometme in #fpn, and subscribed to litestep@litestep.ru.ac.za. Thanks for the time you have taken, always glad to hear from you both. I anticipate we will continue bumping into each other from time to time, probably after I start to feel that I have an idea what I am doing. Know what I mean? Have A Good One Guys!

For the Litestep proficient members. I have installed Litestep via the avavilable OTS installer, as well as the LSTS program which of course enables the ease of changing my Litestep themes on the "fly." In addition to these, I have also downloaded the lsdpatch which allows me the freedom of installing and use of both OTS and distro themes. Question #1: With having installed Litestep v. 0.24.6 and the default OTS compliant theme, is it necessary to initially configure the lsdpatch for
