Both of those ships were in the "reserves." Funny thing though, we spent more time at sea than did the "actice duty cans." I was active duty for those 6 years. Wouldn't trade for anything.....learned how to handle in iron, that was for sure! Fair winds.........and following seas...........

Recently bought OD, with the whole "sha-bang". Initially, I was told that it is not necessary to have SkinStudio to skin the windows GUI. I played around using my graphics proggie to change the look of existing skins, but felt out of the loop, so to speak. Let it be known I am not a programmer by any means. After experimenting with SkinStudio, I feel just as lost and disconnected. I have copiously studied the available documentation, I know quite abit is outdated, but at this stage I wouldn

As a person on the "outside" looking in, you may feel we are a bunch of harda**es, this is hardly the case. We all have to have a degree of patience with this site, it is very popular, and has a close knit community of great skinners, developers, and yes, plain ole "joes" such as myself. If you are into a one-stop shop for creative skins and informative, sometimes non-sensical, "bantering", dude you have found the place. The "wait" in line is always worth it, btw, I have never met the, "serve

I have it up and runnning also, one quick question though. In the comments section for this skin someone had mentioned something about the sounds. I was a little embarassed to ask, but are there "sounds" specific to this skin, if so, I have been unable to "tap" into them. Little help/guidance? Thanx!

I am with Motion, DSL here too. I dread the day something happens, and I am forced to move "out-of-the-city" and having to ever resort to dial-up again. Even with DSL, I spend alot of time at the site, I like to look at everything, read almost all the "newer threads", and compare skins, wallpapers, etc. Yes, D/L's are over in a flash, leaves me more time to browse. I have found the skinbrowser is something better off saved for the day, heaven-for-bid, I have to return to dial-up, although I

Windowblind skins require the Windowblinds program, it comes as shareware for trial purposes, or you can download it for a pittance, become a registered user for 2 year subscription at only $20. Well worth it!!!!! Visit this link http://www.windowblinds.net/

Come On..........Wake Up!!!! It is the sign of the times, remember we live in a Capitalist society here. Our system is based on keeping the rich rich, and the "not-rich" subserviant. If the "entertainment" industry is hurting, so is their tax base to our government. Money talks people, it always has, the rest of us, the working class, have to abide by those rules to keep the dollars flowing in the "right" direction. Join a PAC, better yet start one!

I can understand the need for some to "put their 2 cents worth in" regarding resolution issues. I support what Hippy said earlier. If you have a "custom request', the approach you use towards the artist may have better results than "demanding" compliance. To be asked to do something is always better than being told. Besides, artists would probably consider the request a compliment when asked one-on one through an e-mail. The decision ultimately resides with the artist. (IMHO)
