Winning. No notices on WindowBlinds. I guess IT has gone off to harass other employees.... [e digicons]:|[/e] Thanks again.... Mick

No apology necessary. You did help a lot. I sent them a replay saying I removed the offending irsetup.exe file and it should have been deleted during the install process but something went wrong. So far, no reply... And I'm not going to ask if that was enough. Figure two weeks, if nothing then I guess I get to keep WB. Mick
Looks like irsetup didn't get removed during the install. for reference: " class="Apple-web-attachment Singleton" style="caret-color: #ffffff; color: #ffffff; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: auto; text-align:
I meant does Stardock use irsetup.exe as part of the install process?
Bottom line... Yeah, I know.. IT has gone nuts since our company got hacked a few years back. But I've got 6-9 months left before i retire so figure try to hang on to some level of sanity with Windows during that time. Maybe if I'm able to uninstall ir_setup from the link instructions and leave WB that would be enough. Doesn't hurt to try. All those warnings in the link. And Stardock uses ir_setup? Thanks
Agreed. What is ir_setup.exe? Can I just remove that? They will probably tell m I can't upgrade any more if allowed to keep WB. This all got triggered when I upgraded WB. Which BTW, fixed a lot of issues I had. thanks
Got some more details:
Here's the details I got from IT security. <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; caret-color: #ffffff; color: #ffffff; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: auto; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration: none
I'm wondering too. I didn't think there where any hotkeys for WB. I have no idea on what it could be. I'll pass on what your said. See what happens. Do other Object Desktop apps have hot keys?
I use my ObjectDesktop on my workplace laptop mostly for WindowBlinds which makes the interface so much better. I got this today from out IT security: --- <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Aptos, sans-serif; caret-color: #ffffff; color: #ffffff; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spac
Goggled and found a link to 11.06. During the install there was no prompt to uninstall my existing WB version like the instructions said. No reboot asked for but rebooted. Worked. I have WB 11.06 installed and the original problem with OneNote Export pop-up works now. Thanks! Mick
Cannot find an WB 11.06 version. I can download Object Desktop where you said but there is not option there to do an upgrade to 11.06 (or anything) like Windowsblinds 11. Just Object deskto and Object desktop has no upgrade option for WB. In Windowblinds > about > check for update it still says 11.02 and that I'm up to date. Do you have a link directly to WD 11.06.? Mick
When I go into WB and do About > Check for Updates it says I'm up to date. Do I download the 11.06 and install from that? Will it update and keep my settings that way? Thanks!
Issue with using OneNote 365 trying to export a OneNote page as something else. I do not get the Save pop-up window that allows me to set the file name and location. If I unload WindowBlinds 11 then it works. Excluding OneNote (Ignore the application) does to help. I've seen this behavior with other apps but can't recall the specific one right now. snapshot of operation:<span id="ember11314" class="artdeco-hoverable-trigger artdeco-hoverable-trig
Update. I set Windwblinds 11 to ignore the Outlook app and the colors have come back. I would like this to work without Ignoring it. Defeats the purpose of Windowblinds. That's two so far in a day. Outlook and Task Manager (goes away if not ignored.)
Thanks!
Got past the "upgrade" to Windows 11 and WB11 working for Apps like Firefox. But now I see this with 365 Outlook (not new Outlook) in the 365 Dark Grey theme. Can't see email address. White in color on slightly less white. In the 365 apps It gets better in the 365 White theme, little less washed out and 365 Dark theme brings back the medium grey color that le
That's what I ended up doing. After a few tries at the settings I uninstalled all Stardock apps and reinstalled WB11 and Start11. Got it all to work again. But there are other issues around 365 Original Outlook coloring. That's a new post...... Thanks for the tip!
I had to upgrade to Windows 11. After i saw issue with my Windowblinds 10 did the free evaluation of WB11. That worked for a time. The style I was using in WB10 worked but I tried another style and since then nothing works. No WB 11 icon on the right side apps (even though selected. Can't see that WD11 is starting a boot time. Do not see in Aoo > Startup. Everything has gone white mode/theme. WB10 was solid. Not so far WB11.
Was thinking of updating from WindowBlinds 10.74 to WindowBlinds 10.89. Is this Firefox theming issue resolved in this version? running this windows 10 Edition Windows 10 Enterprise Version 20H2 Installed on 12/7/2021 OS build 19042.1586 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0 thanks, Mick <p
Was running this version: WindowBlinds 10.84 (059 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS Upgraded to the latest version as asked. Did look at the version. This is the download: (bottom) Will not skin firefox 78.10.0esr (64-bit) W
I didn't see it on the list but a really good Virtual desktop app would be great. Multiple virtual windows. Each window can have a name. Each window can have a unique wallpaper. Be able to drag windows from current desktop to another desktop like a Mac. Add menu to the title bar to have "sticky" windows/apps that show on each desktop. There's just nothing out there right now that does this well if at all. Mick &nbs
Completely agree. If WindowBlinds then I'm done with Stardock.
