windowblinds upgrade does not skin firefox anymore

Was running this version: WindowBlinds 10.84 (059 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS

Upgraded to the latest version as asked.  Did look at the version. This is the download: (bottom)

Will not skin firefox 78.10.0esr (64-bit)

Worked great on on 10.84.

Uninstalled windowblinds and reloaded 10,84. and still can't skin firefox. Unset and reset firefox toolbar mode. still no good.

Windows version

Any ideas what has happened. Rollup/Down Multiple Firefox windows was my main reason for windowblinds.

Don't know if this is part of it. Was Playing around with groupy before this. It was ON when I upgraded Windowblinds.

Thanks

Mick

Hello,

Here what I have on my system. I don't have Chrome. But, I do have Edge which also running on Chromium engine and it works. It just that I am on Windows 20H2 (OS Build 19042.928), you might need to update to that version to see it working again.

Thank you,

That's the reason I'm still on 10.84 aswell. I get that skinning Firefox is problematic when not using title-bar mode however the option should still be there.

It was working fine for me until I updated WindowBlinds earlier today, now it's completely broken.

What version of Windowblinds you have on before the update and what is your version now? Here is what my Chrome with Windowblinds turn on. And make sure to reboot the pc after update Windowblinds.

I installed WindowBlinds a couple of months ago, when I last checked it was all 2019, they're all 2021/03/31 now.

This is what happens. The one on top is what it should look like, the rest are what happens at various times when maximizing/restoring the window.

The screenshot I posted is the best i can do.

Still I can't see the issue. It might be incompatibility with your plug-in? I don't use Chrome. My chrome is without any plugins. So that might be the reasons.

Sorry, I forgot some info in my initial comment. For me it's the titlebar that breaks in Firefox, I don't use Chrome so I'm not sure about that.

There are other options you need for Chrome to work:

More details on your issue.

  • For Chrome and Firefox, does the options in Windowblinds configuration selected? refer screenshot below.

  • And for Chrome : If the desktop shortcut modded properly. Refer to screenshot below.

  • For Chrome : Make sure there is no Chrome running in the background when you close your chrome. And Start using the Shortcut you created as mentioned above.
  • For Firefox need to do the Titlebar Mod
The 3 lines menu (top right) -> Customize toolbar -> tick the "Titlebar checkbox" Bottom left
    Restart Firefox

Multiple but not all as of yet. After doing some testing I've only run into the issue with user-made skins, the included ones seem to be fine though the time it takes to mess up is random so it might just be that I hadn't waited long enough.

Firefox, I don't use Chrome or Edge so not sure if there's an issue with either.

Well, it took about 12 hours or so but an included skin finally broke. Looks like it's going to be all of them.
