My wife and I absolutely loved 'Firefly'. We felt like we were part of some elite group, though, whenever we mentioned it because most people hadn't heard of it. I've watched the whole series numerous times now and have also collected the two graphic novels released so far to accompany both the series and the movie (these have been written by Joss Whedon as well). Apparently he plans to explain who or what the 'blue hands' are. Looking forward to that, let me tell you.

Serenity, the graphic novel is much more detailed and definitely adult-orientated. But it is well worth owning because it is the type of book you can read many times and enjoy (as I have done). I'm going to wait for the special edition DVD as apparently it will be the director's cut and include a lot more than was in the cinema release. We saw it last Friday. I have read the graphic novel many times (one of the best ever, as far as I'm concerned). I thought the movie was an outstanding representation of the basics of the story. But then, if a movie had been made of the whole novel, it would have to be at least twice as long as it was. If I had to give it a score, I'd be giving it 4.5 stars out of 5.

I use free writing all the time. It is, as suggested, a great way of getting rid of any blocks, perceived or otherwise. Sometimes I come up with absolute crap that is no use whatsoever while other times, I find my thoughts form into something more. You've used this form, as above, to create a beautiful, moving piece. No, really, mate. Sometimes, forgetting form brings about the most beautiful of phrases. What a great read.
