I try to reach out ever year or so and never recieve a reply. It *could* be he's avoiding me . . . but I think he's out of reach. :(
No, Multiplicity is still very popular and well supported by Stardock.
"well supported" is not the same as still in development. Can you provide any sort of feature path?
WB skinning was easier back in the day. (As was ObjectDock, ObjectBar, and DesktopX.) You almost ahve to be a professional to knock out even the simpliset of skins. Has there been any thought to simplifying the creation process by changing the skinning engine? Does SkinStudio need a rewrite? (MS locked things down too. That makes it much harder to do anything. [I will always miss you DesktopX.])
I've said it for years and I'll say it again . . . teh fact that it's a subscription could be more clear on teh product page. Taht this topic comes up as often as it does (even if it's pretty infrequently) is indicative of an issue that could be fixed.
Check out the "Pages" function of Fences: https://www.stardock.com/products/fences/ There's even a 30 day free trial.

Reasonable people being reasonable and unreasonable people *acting* reasonably makes for a better community. Good on you all!
Lurker or not, I don't agree with you on this one Zubaz
Fair enough. His assessment was kind of an jerky thing to say.
Voluntarily releasing a skin or two with a license that allows redistribution (with credit) might aslo be a way of getting a new generation of skinners in the game. It doesn't take awya from the work a skinner and it doesn't allow a new skinner to take credit for work they didn't do. I don't see teh harm. (I do see harm in treating a reasonable question/questioner as a pariah . . but I'm just an old lurker, riht?)
My typos are getting worse and worse. Basically stumped.
I didn't notice nay typos but then again, I'm not teh best jusge of the genre.
I was looking at this article of the best video games the year you were born and was thinking about how fun it would be to make a Pac-Man non-clone with VGM. And PONG! ;)
While grabbing the screenshot (above) I noticed the bottom two section of the enemy list had some issues. Legendary adn Deadly expanded and contracted as expected but there were some placement problems
"Kirby's Adventure" came out in '93. VGM could do that. So did "Sam & Max Hit the Road" VGM could probably do that too. (I REALLY want point and click in VGM) You know what else came out in '93?
GalCiv for OS/2 came out in '93.
Playing a game: There should be a Play control on the selection of a cartridge in addition to the double click to start a game. I think clicking on the the large cartridge image should also start the game. The play button in to lower right is a Stardock convention but moving my mouse there is a pain in the ass. Why? Small font is small. Too small. (Or I'm old) (Just picking out my hero required squinting. The help text at the bottom of the editor (whil
Is anyone still skinning Xion? That was a powerful skinning engine that was really easy to created with because it used layers (and layer names) as controls. I wish SKS used something similar. The old ShadowFX was really powerful (and fun) but as shadows were incorporated into Windowblinds it became less exciting. I LOVED the dynamic lighting (that you can sort of see in the CursorFX shadows if you enable it).
Fences has (had?) a version check that leverages dropbox. Support should be able to provide a registry key to disable it.
Some of teh best people I've met on the internet are here at WC. Happy brithday and MANY MORE!
It's lovely to see the WC library integration. It's much better than what we did with IconPackager "Featured". When on the "Apply Effects" section a larger preview would be nice. It's unlikely that the user will want or need the thumbnails of other dreams; why not use the lower half for effects and the top half for preview?
Does anyone else ever wonder why bases in TD games were built where they were? I mean it . . I'm at a low risk of attack in most restaurants but I still try to sit in a strategic spot in case of emergency.
For what it's worth, skinning for Xion using named layers was an amazingly simple and fun and fairly powerful system. It's worth looking at something like that for the designer-side of the equation for WindowBlinds.
I've made almost 3000 dreams with Dream Maker but I never saw that link
I know (knew) the Stardock and WinCustomize websites and products like I know my own house. Things may be tucked away but they are still there I I *mostly* know where they are.
