Hi all, I was just wondering if there was going to be a Political Machine 2 coming out for the next presidential election. If so, will there be a primary season where you have to battle others in your party for the nomination and have to go to certain states before their primary to get the delegates for the nomination? Maybe even have to raise money with big donors or go with a grass-roots campaign (or mix thereof). I enjoyed The Political Machine and hope to see a sequel...

Feel free to find a quote from a Republican that argued he was obsessed with Bin Laden. Interesting. The way you word this means you would only accept an argument if a Republican was directly quoted as saying he was obsessed with specifically Bin Laden. While that is more difficult to do based on the specificity of your request, you can see in th

Ok, so here's a question. If the left spends the next four years whining like we spent the past four years, we will lose even worse in 2008. I'm a liberal, and I'm sick of the bitching. As I said before, it's not a partisan issue so much as a troubleshooting issue. As an election official in the largest precinct for our county (
The voting irregularities in FL and OH seen on the initial aggregate numbers (with many subject headers and links on this site) has begun to filter out of the blogsphere and into the media. MSNBC's Countdown had an article on it last night with a followup here: Link Will there be a demand for an investigation? Probably not, there is a lot of fatigue over this election. Hillary - yes she could make it (Personally I think she could make it, but also who can predict the nominee 4 years in advance unless they are the incumbent? I think depending on the circumstances and events of the next 4 years nearly anyone could get the nomination) How about Barack Obama (2012 or 2016?)?
An interesting look at the breakdown by county in Florida and how some counties had "odd" results. I'm not concluding anything from this but some of the statistics is at least interesting when comparing the voting tech. It appears that some of the results may have been flopped. Link A less stat intensive look can be seen here (looks at the numbers by county and then s

I think gym class should be somewhat mandatory. Also, I think that schools should not contract out their lunch programs to companies as many of them have profit and not the student's health as their bottom line. During my time as a student, I watched as gym went from mandatory, to required for 2 semesters, to optional. Not surprisingly this coincides with the rise in obesity. I watched Super Size Me and while it didn't stop me from eating at

hmmm...I don't think the image showed up so here is the link.... Link Note that from 1/1994-12/2000, the rate dropped steadily from 6.6% to 3.9% From 1/2001-current we had a low of 4.2% (1/2001) to a high of 6.3% in 6/2003 to a current 5.4% (it's been fairly flat for 2004).
The percentage of the labor force without work and actively seeking work yields the unemployment rate. nces.ed.gov/pubs/esn/n99u.html So the rate can appear to be constant if enough people have been looking for work long enough that they are not considered active. A few months back the job hire numbers went up, but the unemployment rate also went up due to a number of people returning to "actively seeking" status. I would think
