Dude in wars people die! 3,000-4,000 is sad but nothing compare to other wars in the past. Every since after the Korean war was won, USA has been doing a half-ass job in wars. Basically trying to find a cheapest way to win. Vietnam was all about defensive. Not offensive like the Korean war. When you declare war…you don’t turn around can find the cheapest way to win...you find the most effective way to win no matter what the cost. Otherwise why brother declaring war? Wars are won by ideas and inf

perhaps his economy is sucks..and he trying to shut down production inorder to get 45-25= 20 credits. If you turn on all production in all your planets it's good if you have the money.
For every action there is an effect. Cause and effect that is the basis laws of physics and of life. This isn't the first time US looking for short term economic gain or political stability and neglect the suffering/human rights of the naive people of that country. The consequences of the actions NATO nations after WII on the middle east are presently coming to fruition. All actions have consequences...though they may be unknown at the time, they will always come to fruition in a year or in
So far...the only strategies I see is certain systems acting as choke points and just building two huge fleets and you win. Most of the time use my fleet to concentrate fire on one ship at a time. Which is what happens when you don't have the following: Make capitalships vunerable to when there are squadons of bombers Make frigates vunerable to capital ships Make fighters/bombers vunerable to frigates. More fighters and bombers...seems like you can win the war with just
I think Drengin has 800 attack points because of 20% weapon bonus as a race + any military starbases they had and their political setting.
I can only see it as a useful strategy for those people going for pure technology or pure influence victory. Military starbases play a more defensive game...so enemy ships coming into their territory have a big disadvantage. It will be nice if Military starbase should automatically have the first weapons upgrade (1+ for all weapons) and shot anything in range...but cost 2.5x more than other starbases. A military starbase that can protect your ships, planets, and other starbases...that's
in dread lords it best to set difficulty at normal or tough so that your allies are smart enough to help you. Always be the one to initate the attack in any battle so that you get first shots with your fleet of small ships. Concentrate on logistics, speed, and a lasers..(small and cheap). Dread lords troop transports are undefended in early game so a single fighter can save your planets. Sometimes it may be good to let them conquer one of your planet and immediately conquer it back to
I don't know if you can do this but, perhaps have Shadows/Vorlons/first ones start with 3 powerful planets. Maybe one planet for tiny..and 4 for huge. They are an old race they should live on more than one planet. Or have them start with colony ships...but can't build anymore of them. Or some kind of trigger event that last for the first two years...like once shadows are "conquered" it restores their homeworld back with technolgy that have been researched with a message s
I don't know if this answers your question. in the current .4 mod if your shadows and vorlons you can't build colonizers... so try the older version .3. You should be able to in the customize ship building screen for constructors...freighters for trading require trade tech. For: Reposting my previous question about Spax's add-on since he had a "fix" .rar available for his "final" on June 29, 2006. This file was added June 28, 2006. which ever the later dat
Happy Happy New Year! Especially, because I just built another morale building to satisfy the mindless masses. Don't worry, I'll increase the tax rate next turn. Ha hahaha. Hope everyone play more GalCiv2 and learn new skills next year.
inacessible because you have haven't research some techs yet. Usually just build your own ships...the prebuilt ones I find doesn't suit my needs from turn to turn. Like the prebuilt colonyships/mining have 1 engine = 1pc/wk. from the start of the first turn I make new ones with 2 engines = 2 pc/wk. Don't play sandbox, play and easy level...and you'll learn everything you need to..so that next time you can do things the right way. And you develop a your own playing style. <br
Did you change the set mod folder in galciv2 to the new folder containing the 0.4 mod stuff? If all fails...your save game files under my games shouldn't be affected..but copy it to somewhere else. Uninstall and reinstall galciv2 and babylon5 o.4 mod. 0.4 been out since october...so no one really goes back here to read anymore. Personally, the 0.4 mod is a huge disadvantage for shadows and vorlons.
I actually prefer babylon 5 like music. In the show you notice the during battle the drums will actually sync up to heavy weapons fire... Also, some areas of just soft music to give the player a sense of space(how small they are, a sense of exploration)...like the beginning of homeworld I and parts of babylon 5 and wing commander III or IV music!! Except for the first track in homeworld I, I didn't like repetitveness and simplistic sounds of the rest of the tracts. Basically,
I believe in 0.4 vorlons and shadows don't have colony ships, they have to conquer.
The first one looks brighter and better, even if the second one has more polygons.
Is there a mod that allows you to watch the game continue after you die or surrender to a race? Basically, is there a mod that allows you to just watch the computer fight against itself (one race against another race) without you actually having to play the game?
There is plenty of help if you know how to search for it in the forums. https://forums.galciv2.com/?search=dread%20lords Basically, the dread lords have the quality addvantage. Their ships will always beat you one on one. You have the quanity addvantage. Build fleets of 5 or more tiny ships with weapons and zero defense.
