I guess I have this to say: If that's your dream, then chase it. Do you want to teach for your whole life? Or do you want to do music? We only get so many trips around the sun. Find a radio job and go for it.

Nikki, Nikki, where have you gone? I want to know how your new semester is going! I really enjoyed seeing you over break. I wish we would have had more time to spend with you. I really miss living with you and I wish you all the best. You are awesome!

Danny... You take the time to reply to nearly every one of my articles and here I am just reading most of yours for the first time. Just so you know...I think you have a lot of heart. If I weren't committed at the moment, I think I just might come see you. I could see myself falling in love with someone like you...or...you know...you. Don't give up on you or on life. I think that you have a lot to offer the world, but tha

Whether he meant any offence or not - which he obviously did and Marcie don't defend him because it's obvious he meant some kind of dig - you can't pull apart someones heart word for word and not mean some kind of offense.{/quote] I *WILL* defend him. We live in the same house. We talk about stuff on JU. He wasn't like "he he he...I know all about Tex and her life and I'm going to beat her down and make fun of her!" He's not the kind that

Tex... I'm going to step in here. He wasn't insinuating anything about you or your marriage. That was not his intent at all. His intent was to say to EVERYONE that maybe we could be a little more considerate and aware of each other's needs. At least...I think that's what he was trying to say. At any rate, he wasn't being spiteful or mean, he was just trying to do a macho man's take on the subject.

My woman hasnt called me while Im at work. She obviously must not care about me if she is able to not talk to me for more than 8 hours at a stretch. We work at the same school. What a wonder. Dork.

Karen~ This is fully ironic since I just purchased Cosmo yesterday. I've thought the same thoughts as you. ANd I don't really know why I buy it, really. It just pisses me off when I read about all those stupid things people do to themselves and each other (see "Confessions"). Maybe I'm trying to prepare myself for when I get married and get to try those sexual positions? Probably not. But I stand there in front of the m

It's not that men don't care...they just don't express their affection the same way we do. I think they think that an "I love you" not looking you in the eye is enough for one day. I need touch to feel loved. I feel loved when he cooks dinner or cleans up my mess or whatever, but you really want to make sure I know that you love me? You gotta touch me. Men. Hmpf. lol

B~ I know it's impossible for word to express the gratitude I feel to those who serve...and their families who long for their return from afar. I guess I don't know much about politics and warfare, but I do know something about people and sacrifice. I know that America couldn't continue being what it is if it weren't for our armed forces. I know that you've been through and sacrificed much during this war...so thank you, Tex

Ali~ I moved 1500 miles away from home in August, moved in with the man friend (what a mistake), and started a new teaching job, all within a week's time. Moving, looking for jobs, getting married, graduating, and what not...they're all major life events, and you poor thing, you're going through half of them all at once. Give yourself some time. Maybe hook up with a church if you're into that or get into something that you and Hardi

You're not insane...and you know what...don't let anyone tell you that having sex with everyone is okay, because its not. Another teacher, who is younger than me by at least a year, has probably slept with 3-4 people since she moved here from Minnesota. And then she's all upset because she gets an STD and has to talk to her current boyfriend about it? I don't feel sorry for you one bit. Duh? You sleep with that many people in a short amoun

B~ I have no idea how you feel. I don't know anyone in the military (well...I do...but I guess they're people that I've never met), let alone anyone who is deployed or going to be deployed or who has been deployed. I can only imagine what that's like. I agree with the very wise Karen...Don't make yourself into what you think HE wants you to be. You have to be who you are, and not an imitation of something, because it's so hard to l

I think I already replied to this matter in someone else's blog, but I'll say my piece here, too... First, I'm Christian, and I can see through the mire of the "gay" cartoon crap...at least I hope that is what their intentions are. I believe that homosexuality is sin, because my Bible says it is. My Bible also says that *I* as a heterosexual, sin every day as well...so blah about that. I'm hoping these groups' intentions are to protect our

I find it interesting that it is said that Jeffrey Dahmer became a Christian before he was killed. I hope he was...because he is definitely one person I would love to meet and talk with in Heaven. Also...be it known that prison has been a spiritual turning point for many. I have a cousin who was in the klink for 10 years for 2nd degree murder...and when he was finished he wanted to become a pastor (don't know whatever happened to tho

My thing is...is that how many kids who are watching Barney or Spongebob are really paying attention to the characters' "sexual preferences." How can something that is imaginary and animated be homosexual? I mean really. People can be homosexual, but Spongebob can NOT be homosexual. Barney is a large, purple dinosaur that sings stupid songs. How can a large purple dinosaur be gay? Just let the kids be kids and enjoy the shows for what the

In first grade, when I'm correcting the kids writing, I'll go back and underneath what they've written I'll do the correct spelling for them. They're using lots of words that they haven't experienced in print yet, so they spell it phonetically, and that's what I want them to do at this point. I guess I've never really thought about this a whole lot...I think I need to talk about the literacy specialist about it now that you bring it up. Hopefully sh

You'll have to keep in mind that this is coming from someone who has buried her father, grandfather, and an uncle, all of whom she was very close to, within the past 5 years. The funerals that I've been to where there haven't been bodies to see has been very hard for me. I'm very visual, and while seeing a person that I love in a casket is very hard for me, it also helps me over that hill where I say "okay...this person really is dead, and
