..if the christian majority can accept that people are born with defects, conditions and differences...and that it's not their fault they were born that way....why is it that homosexuality is seen as a 'choice'? That, to me, is like saying that a person is schizophrenic by choice, or near sighted by choice.

blonde~ I'm Christian too...and I struggle with this. God is a just God. He is an angry God. He wants to "get even" with people that hurt HIS people. BUT (and I mean BUT) on the other hand, He is a loving, caring, understanding God. I believe that people twist the Bible around and make it say whatever supports their cause, you know. I mean...it *is* the Word of God...and what He says, goes, right? As for the death penalt
First, Sarah. All I have to say is "AMEN!" Second...although I know that the first cells that develop are part of the placenta, I believe that the fetus becomes human at the moment of conception. The sperm and egg in question are human in orgin, and therefore, a human lifeform is in development. I don't suppose that makes much sense...but....I don't know. Life is a miracle to me. There are SO many things that COULD go wrong with pregnanci
Hmmmm...even if it wasn't malicious, it still hurt his older brother, you know? And it wasn't right to break big brother's toy...It's probably too late to say something about it now, but if the behavior happens again, I think it's important to make sure little brother knows that its not okay for him to break big brother's toy and that if he wants to be rough, there are other places and things that its okay to be rough in and play rough with.
That was very nice of you...even if she was lying to you...you still showed her a kindness and hopefully she'll pass that on to someone else...
Yay for Christian mothers and grandmothers! They can truly change the world!
I think you're crying because you're so capable of all those things that are scary to other people...taking down large women, securing buildings, etc...a rearview mirror should be a piece of cake, right? Don't put so much pressure on yourself...no one expects you to be perfect (except, probably you...)
The new testament is also adamant about loving God....I don't remember which Gospel...but it's called "The Great Commandment"...it's basically what was said in Deuteronomy: Love the Lord your God will all your heart, soul, mind, and strength"....
Whoa, Rex. I dont really know what you mean about the whole bike on a string thing. I wasnt complaining about the 40 miles either...thats nothing...almost a gallon of gas. We drove to Marhsall MN from Fargo ND, about 220 miles, which also is nothing. I was complaining more about the food service that we got at the restuarant. As part of the organization I belong to, there are local chapter couples, region couples, and international couples of the
Yay! Awesome article with great insights. I think if people go into marriage thinking that their spouses are going to be the same in fifty years as they are their wedding days, they're in for great disappointments. I think that we need to revel in the fact that our spouses change, grow, and mature, and support them in those positive changes!
I would be GONE GONE GONE....
