Hi Friends. It's been almost two years since I've posted anything on here. I don't really care too much, and you probably don't either, and that's okay. Nothing ever really happens in my world. I go to work, and I come home. And that's about it. We don't go anywhere. In the past two years, here is what has happened: 1. I lost my beloved grandmother in April. 2. Ryan started a new job last week that allows him to be home

It can kiss your ass, and you can KICK its ass. I am looking forward to many years of blogs from you. So take that, BC.

I'm with you ID. This whole thing with Joe Biden being offered whichever position he wanted pisses me off more than a little bit. It's like how things run in my school district--"Hey, you suck as an administrator, so we'll take you out of your school, move you to central office, and make you an even more powerful administrator, but one who doesn't have to deal with parents and students." Good Lord, help us!

I feel like I have to rape my husband, because he NEVER wants to. I'm taking a hormone shot right now to be treated for endometreosis, and while I'm in virtual menopause, we're supposed to use a barrier method of birth control for the next six months. So...even though we were away from home and there was no "barrier" available, I certainly didn't turn him down. When he offers, I definitely don't say no. It kinda sucks that we're virtual newlyweds and his desire i

I found this article on the Minneapolis Star-Tribune's website. It makes me positively sick to my stomach. http://www.startribune.com/local/37594384.html Apparently some jackass snowmobiler found a hole in the Fond du Lac River, jumped over it, and hit the ducks that were in and around the open water. I realize they're "just" ducks, but this is outright cruel. There is also mention in this article a

I lost my dad almost a decade ago already. And while I still go through those periods where I wish I'd done more, mostly I just have fond memories and I just MISS him. I think its different when you're a full-blown adult, though. I was barely out of high school when my dad passed away. I think I would feel very different if my mom were to pass away now. I'd kick myself for living away for so many years, and not taking care of my mom as much as I should have, an

I read constantly. I finished the "Twilight" series by Stephenie Meyer recently, and I've been reading lots of Phyllis Reynolds Naylor (she writes stuff for teens). Currently I have my nose in "Leaving the Saints" which is an autobiographical book on leaving the Mormon church. Hope to finish that one soon. :) Reading is part of my sanity. I go stark raving mad if I don't read for pleasure. Is that weird? I suppose it is. I can't wait to buy my

I am purchasing 3 gifts total this year. We just can't afford buying for everybody, so my mom, my sister, and Ry's mom are the ones that get gifts. We don't want anything. We'll be spending about $50 total this year.

I'll probably go see it. I was going to go see it on Friday with girlfriends, but the theater was packed, and they were going to go to a hoochie bar afterwards. Ry and I went to see "Fireproof" instead. You want hoky acting? The message was good, but we were laughing because it was so dorky. At least Kirk Cameron is really cute. :) I liked the first Twilight book, but the second wasn't as good. I'm waiting for someone to lend me the last two,

Twenty months ago I began this little journey with little thought, which was very stupid. BUT...today it came to an end...kind of. After Ryan's dentist appointment today, he came to school to pick up a very important package from me and take it to the post office to go to Long Island, New York. Inside that little bubble mailer was a CD that I spent the last two weeks working on. It was a culmination of the last year and a half of sacrificing my time, my marriage, m

Ummm...where do I start? I'm not exactly the most graceful person I've ever met. I guess I'll share two of my most recent stupid human tricks. Last winter when I was home in Minnesota, I went to visit my college friends in Brainerd/Baxter. I'd been itching to go sledding, so my friend Meghan gathered up a bunch of sleds from her house and we went to the biggest hill in town. It had been really nice earlier in the day, and lots of folks had been sledding. T

I am a HUGE Seth Rogen fan. The only movie that he's been in that I can't tolerate is "Superbad." I'll definitely be putting my money down to see this movie at the theater. And I'm sure it will end up in my movie collection at some point.
