or you let some AI build the aphro thing and trade for it (what you can easily do with that massive research advantage the NLC gives) i also thing neutral is a bit overpowered the good super-armor is nice but my the time a good player has it, i already got to the high class "normal" armor as a neutral, which is better then the special armor the good guy gets neutral lerning centers are better then anything a non-neutral player can get evil weapons / good defenses

there should be a diplomatic option "get out of my influence sphere" which the AIs may chose to ignore if they are more powerful then you and which they will obbey if they are afraid you risk a war or if they like you very much (ether they fear you or they respect your privacy coz you are freinds)

is there any reason not to always pick the evil option every time and then simply pay those irrelevant 10 BC per turn later to be good or neutral ? the evil options are worth a lot more then those 10 BC per round (and if you want to go neutral its only 2500 BC total, most time i can afford that in one shot)

sounds fine to me you are forced to be democratic, but not nothing is said that you are forced to change back after that year and why would you want to lose that econ bonus? what i dont really get is how that up issue can put the whole galaxy to star democracy when noone has ever researched it ...

Instead of a very bad, unrealistic fix [closed borders], the developers could add more diplomatic options, for example telling the AI/player in question to get the f out of your space. Then the AI/player has a choice, leave the player's space or risk war. As for treaties, as long as the AI take into consideration that

how does that alignment stuff work? e.g. i am good so the good guys like me more. how much more? do the evil guys like each other as much as the good guys?

alliances are really flawed imho they just dont offer any decent advantages (except diplomatic victory) it would be cool if starbases always gave the advantages to allies (without UP vote) and something like "share tech" should be an option for alliances on earth this is done: scientists work together worldwide and research the new technologies across borders the licensing then is done by the industry but the resear

I really like those journals, great work! Two things i found a bit strange: Why are you that "weak" in technology? In the diplomacy screens, the AIs always have thechs you dont have. If that is the case, i always trade for their techs (since you also have techs they lack). Is it impossible now to trade for their weapon tech because of the change in perceived value you described? In beta4, i always end up with every tech any race has ava

there is a beak alliance button for the major races as for the minor race ... i've never seen such a button why not just attack them?

5 Replies 2,360 Views

show only latest button would be very cool pro that (btw i never had the need to build a normal factory later ... normally i have plenty of money and the planets i take have some factories)

1 - Carriers they totally own and they would make small ships finally useful 2 - Space based shipyards military starbases could actually produce those tiny ships the carriers carry (or auto-replace them when a wounded carrier is near) 3 - please done change planetary invasion, its more then complicated enough as it is and after all its a space game 4 - Orbital bombardment risk destroying a planetary impro

orbital fleet manager being an upgade to the starport would be nice on most planets i think its just wasted space ... and then the defense structure could be an upgrade to the orbital fleet manager or make the defense a super project, so it only wastes one tile and you get defense on every planet same could be done with the orbital fleet mana

afaik the most influential planet is not the planet that accumulated the most influence throughout the game, its the planet that produces the most influence in one turn so if you conquered drengi and the AI did build 5 embassys there then drengi would be your most influential planet this turn had a funny thing like that last game i wondered why a specific planet didnt flip, it should have been mine long ago with all my influence st

i'd also like to see that tile freed after production as it is, i hate to build trade goods on my manufactoring capital since i better use the space for factories if they wont take space, my capital could start crack out trade goods and ships instead of ships only as it is right now ...

afaik the cool bonus abilities like 25 miniaturization will disappear if you costomize a race i like the unchanged yor for their minis in the beginning but i also like lots of other abilities, so most time i get a custom race mine has diplo translators researched from the beginning so i can tech trade in turn 1 (mostly playing small maps)

i dont agree on the point that races should have randomized alignments maybe as an option, but not as default its good to know that the torians will always fight the evil races and that the drengins will always be warmongerers torians being evil just doesnt feel right

having played a few games as neutral lately, i just dont know how i should live without neutrality leaning centers when not being neutral ... what are your strategies when going good? having good allies is fine but everyone loves me anyway when i have those extra techs from my neutrality learning centers and my extra money from taxes the morale boost allows me to have anyone else being always evil in planetary events to get the be

hi now in 1.1(beta) there have been some changes to the alignment i wonder what alignment i should take and if they are balanced i always pick the evil morale event when settling on a planet simply because if i dont want to be evil later, i just have to pay 10 PC per turn and those evil events are worth the 10 BC (which is nothing) first evil: free starbase upgrades and free invasions - as a warmongering race t

its "intentional" its like this because they simply took the eco system from gal civ 1 without thinking too much ... i totally agree with you that it should not be the way it is but changing it now will take a lot of balancing in production and research costs, so probably this change will be done in the next big patch or maybe the expansion, at least not any time soon anyway, its good that more users complain about
