With multiple monitors why does this force all new icons on the desktop to another monitor that isn't the Windows primary. When I uninstall Fences it works fine, minus not having fences. Fences IS causing all new icons to go to a monitor other than the windows primary monitor. Fences IS placing icons on top of other icons when not in a fence. If I download a file to the desktop it will place itself on top of another icon/file and I have to select the "top" one and move it to a

A fix for the lag would be nice. Thanks for the tip to fix the layouts, mine seems to be ok, it's just that every icon is placed on the desktop out of line with the snap grid and not in line with windows icons.

I wanted to see if there were any additional thoughts on how to troubleshoot this issue. Fences seems to be the only options that has been kept up to date, so I don't really have an alternative besides going back to the days of having folders all my organization on my desktop. Thanks

I have 3 monitors with the center one set at my primary. This machine is a new install and have tested it twice. Without fences installed all of my new icons appear on the primary monitor as the next icon in the column as expected. When I install fences my icons go to a different monitor and sometimes instead of going to a different monitor they will appear as the next icon on my desktop going from left to right not top to bottom. It will also move my other icons

I'm having this exact same issue and I have 3 monitors. I have turned off fences completely and the issue goes away. This seems to be an issue specifically with fences, I am using a insider preview. I normally do the slow and slightly more stable previews but this problem has been happening for long before I changed over to insider. I tested it again, I created a new account on my computer had fences off / uninstalled. All new icons from downloaded files go the my primary
