At the bottom below that window, there should be three buttons. Click ad per application setting and then browse to the exe of the program you want to exclude. If you can't see any buttons at the bottom, try another skin and reboot. I have found over time that rebooting will clear up a lot of problems with WB.

I think some of you don't understand how unstable version 5 (all) can be. Sometimes I can load a skin three different times and get various different portions skinned and unskinned and big blotches of pink. I have tried every version since 5 was released I think and all cause problems in not painting the full skin properly. My latest problem is with Windows media player 11 skin. I do a lot of skin editing and I edited this one and it was looking good for two weeks. Suddenly the taskbar no longer
Glad I could help, and you are welcome. When I say copy, yes I mean copy and paste the bitmaps you may have already modified into the new directory. When it asks if you want to replace the older bitmap say yes. You see, on a lot of skins, I had done a lot of modifying of buttons, toolbars etc and when I found out how to import the skins as UIS2, I didn't want to loose all the work I had already done. That's when I started copying the work I had already done from the original skin folder
Ok. Lets say you have made several changes with an image editor to a WB skin called Slick. If you are like me, when you edit tga files, you have to save them as bitmaps since Skin studio doesn't recognize any tga files I save with my image editor(Photofiltre) or any others I have tried. SO, what I do is change the style and color of some buttons and maybe some bars, change a font or two and then save the finished skin as a WB which is saved in the Windowblinds Directory under C:\Program Files\St
I assume you know if you can find the VS, you can port it to UIS2 and then copy all the BMPS from the WB UIS1 to the new ported UIS2 version, and a lot of rework is eliminated. It's amazing what old Visual Styles you can find on DA. I was just hoping there was a quicker and easier way. Heavy sigh...........
I come across some ported WB skins that were ported as UIS1 and the menubar can't be skinned. Is there a way to save a WB from UIS1 to UIS2? When I try, that option does not appear to be available. Thanks.
Thank you times a thousand. You have made me a happy camper today. Too many times when I am trying to self teach myself, I fail to check out all the options. Obviously, I pay the price for that. Thanks to both of you to take the time to help. I really appreciate it.
Here's a link to Saxon VS at DA. With the work they are doing on the site, I hope the link stays good. WWW Link
Don't know why no one else has answered this, but it's my understanding that when you use per pixal, you cannot skin the menu bar. I really dislike that but I don't know what it would take to change it.
Thanks for the try Koasati, but no luck. On the skins I have trouble with, Bar background and Bar items are not there. I have no idea how to get those two attributes(?) there. Why are they missing in some skins? If the author of the skins can but those entries there then I should be able to, but how? On skins that use per pixal there is a problem with skinning the menubar and I am aware of that one, but this is something different. Just forgot to mention this before.
I have been learning how to use Skin Studio the hard way. Have figured out most of my problems but there is one problem that I totally do not understand. When I port some msstyle skins to WB I don't have any problems with the menu bar, even in Opera. With some skins however, in skin studio I can click on the menu bar and the menubar button area and nothing happens. I cannot find anywhere to skin the bar or the buttons. This has a disasterous effect with Opera in that with some skins the menu
Ok. I uninstalled CursorXP Pro and cleaned up the leftovers with Total Uninstall 3. I rebooted and then cleaned the registry with 5 different reg cleaners, including jv 16. I went into my file manager and cleaned up any files that may have been used with Cursor XP, including the folder you mentioned above. I rebooted, installed Cursor XP Pro 1.3, not using the SDC, and rebooted again. Opened Cursor XP and clicked on a theme that I knew was crashing it and bigger than sh!!!
I have Cursor XP Plus and I have been having a lot of trouble with the same thing. Only certain themes trigger this crash, but they are consistant. Also in my file manager, I can double click the bad theme and it will load ok. I have uninstalled and reinstalled after cleaning the registry. Nothing works so far. Strangely, this started happening a couple of weeks ago, I think. Not after an upgrade either.
I get the same thing from time to time and I have a powerful machine much like yours. Sometimes it just hangs up for a minute or so but has never worked as well as 4.6 version. WB 5 has caused me nothing but heartaches ever since it came out. I hope they never get rid of 4.6.
Ok, here ya go. WindowBlinds 5.0 System Information Report: STATUS : WB+ SRV+ HLP+ UI+ TRAY+ WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC. WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins. You have one monitor in total. (Plug and Play Monitor) 1 is attached to RADEON X300 Series Wblind.dll 2006/05/30 18:49:54 Wbsrv.dll 2006/02/05 12:58:2
I will have to reinstall WB5 to get sysinfo and try to skip Photofiltre from skinning What kind of info do you need from sysinfo? Do not have an sdk for WB. I am not a skinner, just do a lot of modifying with skin studio to make the skins more readable for all programs. Personal use only.
I have been trying to use WB5 since it came out, but I do a lot of skin editing with Photofiltre and I continually loose the floating tools palet. Its very random but will happen every time I use photofiltre for any length of time. It just disappears and I have to re start photofiltre. This does not happen with WB4. I am too lame to use PSP or any of the others that has layers. Also, where can I change the color of the menubarbar for those skins that use Per Pixal frames? Also, ca
Why can't some Menubars be skinned with WB5? They come up with a light grey background and no buttons available in skin studio. Another problem I have is the system button goes black when I modify it and change the extention to bmp instead of TGA. I can choose another button and it will then paint. I don't use any graphics programs that will save as TGA becaujse I am Photoshop illiterate. I did look for answers from previous posts but found none.<img
