The Windowblind skin was FROIS-01 and the anti-virus software is CA, I don't have the name of the virus, it was a couple of weeks ago and I tried to look at the scan log but it has been scanned again since then. Also, I thought that I had downloaded it from Deviantart, but I can't find it there. It must have been from the GUI Olympics site WWW Link

Actually, it was a skin I got off of Deviantart, which was also an entry in the GUI Olympics. I have tried to search for the skin on Deviantart again and can't find it, although it is still listed on the GUI Olympics site.

Okay, I gotcha. After I wrote that last post I remembered that at the young age of 23 I was pregnant with my first daughter when my husband ran off and left me in Oregon with two Irish Setters and a cat with a litter of kittens. I took a road trip and tracked his you know what down!!!!

JayM, click on your name under your posts and it will take you to your profile. I looked at it and it says that you have been a member since 2005. The database will track the amount you've downloaded since you've had your account. Your customer level says visitor so that tells me that you haven't purchased or registered a Stardock product or a Wincustomize subscription. Once you do either one of those two things the sky is the limit as far as downloads. At least until you subscription runs out..

When I first started with Wincustomize I thought I had to have every WB that came out. Nowadays, I have certain features that I like in a blind. For instance, I like a windowblind that actually has the blind feature. I'm much more apt to dl a skin that goes with a favorite wall. After a couple of years you get to know your tastes,I think. I rarely make comments anymore, because I tend to say the wrong thing. I guess I'm an inadvertant troublemaker when it comes to comments!!! <img src="http

Okay! That clears that up!!! On the DesktopX thing I'm just going to let it go...it's just annoying to keep getting notified of updates on StardockCentral and not be able to access them. Otherwise the program itself works just fine for my needs. I don't see myself getting into creating widgets or themes anytime soon. I do enjoy the ones that others so thoughtfully provide.

Yes, I went to the library the other day and downloaded it from the link which came in the email. So I have the program, I just can't register it or update it. I guess I have to re-download it every time they update it. I could not register it with Stardock Central because it is DesktopX 3.0 Run-Time Client.

Thank you for asking Sir Bichur!!! It says word for word, "the serial number you have entered is invalid. Please ensure the information you have entered matches exactly from your order email. Use the serial number lookup button to resend your account information to the email address you ordered under." Before you ask...I copied and pasted the number and did not allow any extra spaces to get copied with it. It is exactly the number I was sent. If you could find out the reason for this I

I went to my the library today with my trusty jump drive and downloaded the program and installed it when I got home. I sure did aggravate myself over this. As I expected, though, I could not register it with Stardock Central because it is DesktopX 3.0 Run-Time Client. For some reason this particular edition of DesktopX is not able to register or update with Stardock Central. If anyone could help answer why this is true I would appreciate it.

Okay, Sir Bichur, I changed from netscape internet service to another service (E-Sage) and was able to download Stardock Central and install it!!!!! Yay!!!! DesktopX keeps giving me an error message at some point during the download about the file cannot be saved because the source cannot be read. Or some such thing. But, never fear I will persist.

Okay, I'm pretty sure this has something to do with the dial-up internet connection I'm using. At some point the download is being interrupted and I'm not getting the entire file. No, tried on several more occasions and all with the same result. No Stardock Central and no DesktopX. I'm thinking I may just go to my Sister's house (who has Broadband) and load it onto my jump drive. I'll let you know how that goes. Thanks for all your help. Hey Boss!!! Thanks for the encouragement.
