Stardock, I'm a little disappointed with this game. Not only are the graphics the exact same as FOUR YEARS AGO ... you took away features like unlocking new characters and campaign mode. You also took away historical scenarios. You would have been better off taking the same 2008 game and slapping a 2012 cover on it -- it would have been more enjoyable. I hope you're planning on adding more with

Okay! After attempting to create my own art work (ha!), and many failed attempted to aquire good pictures, I have decided to use the game's existing artwork. I have made changes to the corecanidate file. The following are the changes: -Eliminated Chole Sullivan, Jeffrey Jackson -Bill Mason changed to Bob Dole, Mike Forbes changed to Steve Forbes -Added 10 democrats: Bob Graham, Zell Miller, Dennis K., Joe Lieberman, Barack O

Thanks Jeff. If you have AIM, IM me at Jesse3581 ir e-mail me at Jesse3581@yahoo.com. Endorsements? How about students, teachers unions, first responders, vets, farmers and ranchers and health professionals? We'll dive into that soon enough I suppose. I was thinking. This game is already set up for scenarios, so I bet one of Stardocks's first major improvments would be to incorporate that into the game. I got out of work

I think it's better to focus on your oppent's base. If you're a Reoublican, you should build a level 3 HQ in CA and/or NY and/or IL. If you can capture either state, you're on your way to victory. Try to take TX, OH and FL. It really is worth it to sink in the political capital for a smear merchant and the money for ads in these states.

To me, endorsments are kinda like a flash in the pan. Yes, they do increase awareness and boost the issue, but after a couple of turns, it goes back down to normal. As an experiment, put the map on awareness mode and win 3-4 endorsements. You'll see awareness stays the same. Then try it again with polling data. If you're not campaigning, you'll see the states sway to your side, then back to normal. There is little long-lasting effect, so I agree

Another intresting development. Because my corecanidate file was modified, the multiplayer option was greyed out. After playing a game (McCain vs. Obama ... I got my butt handed to me by the soon-to-be-Senator from IL) I was able to play a multiplayer game.

Hey all, this was a lot easier then I thought. What I REALLY want is a way to draw those cartoons ... that would be kick a**. Anyway, I add in all I said I would, but I added them as .canidate files. e-mail me if you want them. Personally, I think I made Colin Powell strong enough to run on his own, or would be a GREAT Veep pick. Pataki and Guliani would also be good vp picks. Like I said before, I think the Dems have stronger canidates, so the o

I saw Frogboy posted that modifying the corecanidate file will disable multiplayer, but I think the patch fixed this. I modified my corecanidate file last night (Boosted Wes Clark's points and such) and although a message said multiplayer would be disabled, after restarting PM, I was able to play multiplayer ... comments?

Hi all, By modifying the corecanidate.canidate file, I'm going to add some canidates in tonight. They will NOT have pictures because I think it's better to wait for an offical version. Anyway, the guys I want to add are ... Democrats: Bob Graham (I'm curious to how the CPU AI will react to being able to pick a Flordia veep) Zell Miller (An experiment on what will happen with a democrat with republican appeal) Dennis Knu

Hey, playing around in the data folder found some intresting stuff. I don't know if people are aware of this or not, but you can change some of the stuff on the "core" canidates by opening "CoreCanidates" as notebook file. For example, I changed Bill Mason to Bob Dole and I touched up Bill Richardson a notch and gave Wes Clark the military experiance he needs. Anyone know why Vilsack is in this game? With custom characters, you can open tho

Okay, appearently I have a very "cheap" way of winning according to the guy I played last night, but it works, and I have minor difficultly beating George Washington and Tommy J. The trick is definately, definately the large HQ's. Spend the first HALF (20 weeks) building as many as you can and raising money in CA, FL, GA, TX, WA, WI, MI, IL, OH, PA, NJ, NY, MA and NC. You should be able to build 10, and try to build them in battlegrounds. I

Senator - I write you today as a former registered republican who is planning on voting George W. Bush out of office in November. I wanted to share my thoughts with your campign regarding your vice-presidental canidate and I wanted to throw my support behind General Wesley Clark. He is extraordinarilly intelligent, articulate, he has "execuitive" experiance and isn't a "Washington" insider. He brings support to the issue of national sec

I downloaded the program, ran it and ... nothing ... it was still running, but I was back on the desktop. I clicked it a few times, again, I would get the minimizing. I put in the nointro line, same effect. Finally, I saw someone posted something about resolution changes. I put mine on highest and it worked! For about 3 minutes. Another open program prompted me and PM closed. Now when I try to play, it says "Buffer overrun detected

First, I'd like to thank you for a well thought out, well documented post. I disagree with your term of "intellectual dishonesty", but we'll leave that for another time. mikimouse wrote that we had a war plan for Iraq two days after September 11th. The truth is that We've had a war plan for Iraq for 10 years, following the first Gulf War. This is what the Defense Department does: they write war plans based on future contagiencies. Accordi

I agree with all you said, and would only like to add that the independent swing voters, although a dimishing group, are who really need to be pampered by the left.

I hardly have time right now, but I was wondering what people thought of these latest allegations, including a deal with Price Bader of Saudi Arabia to increase oil production in October for the election. Two others are that Bush illegally appropriated 700 million from Aftganistan to plan for Iraq; and of course that Bush was planning for an Iraq war before he took office. Personally, I think the deal with Saudi Prince is the most ser

OG, I have a wild idea ... why not start a website with your opinion articles. I love them and I think others do too. Personally I'd like to see them get more views.

I'll tack on some more for you there Kingbee ... Having traveled abroad and I think any American who has will agree with me ... the HATRED of George W. Bush and the United States unilaterialism policies are having an effect on the mind set of the non-US public. In every poll, every single one, the public does not support the united States. Much like the United States, there is genuine hatred of Bush and his policies Here's a scenari

Do you know this? Really? How do you know? Did you read the article? For it to make a material difference you'd need to swap out say 50,000 or more US troops with that of some contribution nation or nations and I don't see any scenario that has numbers on that scale. Realistically, if France and Germany were on board you would have a couple thousand. Sigh. Look people, look at the numbers that Alex was nice enough to post. The UK, ar
