'Extra' componant direction changers not removable

v0.81a.016

Create new cargo hull, add colony module, two Basic Support modules, a 180-degree direction changer, and mount Hyperdrive engine(size-13). Total size: 48/50. When the smaller Ion engines(size-10) become available, it is possible to then add one more Basic Support module(size-5), and increase ship range from 0.8 out to 1.1

However, when I go to remove the backwards-facing Hyperdrive, and install the Forward facing Ion drive, I also want to remove the 180-degree direction changing module. There are so few centerline hardpoints that make sense for an engine mount.

But the module refuses to remove. Selecting it from the componant list (no image btw) doesn't activate the remove button. Selecting it from the displayed model ship activates the remove button, but pressing the button does not remove the direction changer.

Have you tried selecting the reverse module again, reducing it to minimum size and installing on top of the old modifier.

I haveen't tried it, just a thought.

Yes, the result is a stack. Each one has some height to it, so the Ion engine looked like it was hovering over the rear of the cargo hull.

I have seen a similar problem and basically had to go back and start over from scratch on my design. From what I have gleaned from folks in gamma and corporate entities though ship design is far better and more intricate in gamma than what we see in beta.

See previous post that I made about mass drivers fitting backwards for a spoof on it.
