New user with Desktop X Prob

Popup:  desktop xdoesnot appear to have exited correctly. .....corrupt desktop or buggy plugin..........start with empty desktop (YES) or load current (NO).


  If i click yes and reload desktop: some objects ..........plugin incompatable with desktop x2 you canedit blacklist.ini..


 


now the newbe question is this normal and what are the possible consequences of this.


 


All im getting is the backgroung no toolbars or objects.

since it was created uploaded on 3/23/2003 it was made using a way older version of dtx. you do run into issues sometimes with older themes and newer versions of dtx.

if you can't get it to play nice & you have desktopx standard or higher
try loading it in builder mode and see if you can get it to update to work.

or move the theme to somewhere else, change the extension to .zip - open it and see if you can import the objects and wall and save as a theme compatible with your version of dtx

don't know if this will work - was gonna try it with some them - but had a system crash & lost everything, been working on downloading (dialup) and reinstalling all the proggies.
