Suggestion for additional option

One popup less for starbases

Based upon my experience with GalCiv I and the last Beta, I'd like to make a suggestion. Please implement one more feature in the options menu: There already are checkboxes for "build starbase", "upgrade starbase" and "harvest resource" (which toggle the confirmation dialogs on and off), it would be nice to have another one for "confirm upgrade price" (or similar) that allows to toggle the dialog saying "installing the x module will cost y money, do you want to do that?".

The "price for module upgrades" feature was introduced in some version of GalCiv I (IIRC), I assume that's why there was never a corresponding option. It can be tedious to click through many of these dialogs when building e.g. a large cultural starbase in one go and additionally the list of available modules jumps up to the beginning when the price confirmation dialog comes up - forcing you to scroll down again for the next module.

It's not a major issue, but it would a nice feature to have, now or later.

Currently playing another game with version 0.81a.007 and two other things came to my mind:

(1) Could the grid be made more visible? It's difficult to see on the map IMO.

(2) Shouldn't there be a starbase module which enhances its sensor range? Such modules could be linked to the sensor techs.

Agree on all points.

Still playing with 0.81a.007, I wonder about the following issue: Why is it that military production can be left idle without paying for it (which is a very good thing IMO), but you always pay for the social production regardless of whether the planet actually builds something or not?
I'd suggest to handle it similar to military production: Allow social production to run idle (which happens fast enough when all tiles are full on a planet) and don't charge for the useless hammers.

Take a look to the manual (p.29). You will see that social manufacturing is supposed to work the same way than military production. I have already reporting this behavior (search thread about wasting social production)

Thanks for the response, I read the manual but probably not thoroughly enough.
Glad to see it's not intended to work the way I feared.

@ jakanc & Fuels Chief: Thanks for the show of support!

On my side I'd agree and add - one more option - to deisable that constant "Hello"=>Research=>Planet with Capital, so game would always go to starmap.
