Can't skin Menubar

Only some WB5 skins

from Stardock Forums

Why can't some Menubars be skinned with WB5? They come up with a light grey background and no buttons available in skin studio.


Another problem I have is the system button goes black when I modify it and change the extention to bmp instead of TGA. I can choose another button and it will then paint. I don't use any graphics programs that will save as TGA becaujse I am Photoshop illiterate.


 


I did look for answers from previous posts but found none.

If you are using a bmp, make sure that "transparency" and "transluscency" are "disabled", unless you are using "majik pink", then only "transparency" should be enabled. The tga that you probably replaced was the one in the XP Luna style, I presume. It has a transparent background and per-pixel shading. Hope this helps.

Menubars can't be skinned on windows with per-pixel frames. They should take on the colors set in the Classic Colors section of SkinStudio though.

Scorpio-logic, I always check the transparent and translucency settings, so that is not the solution.

Sorry but I don't understand this.Does that mean that there is still some underlying property of the saved BMP image that is causing it to be transparent? Would the problem be solved if I just made a new image to put in its place?


One last thing. Would someone explain to me what per-pixel means, please.
