multitude of issues - second party look see

A continuing saga of "what the heck is going on here".

What I’m left attempting to correct is this; when I open screen properties and then click on "appearance", I am getting a screen that wants to me to "select data source".

And the initial window is showing the classic windows style and not that of windowblinds.

I’d like to fix this, any suggestions? (yes, I can reach the WB menu from the WB button.

Problems leading up to this.
1. Trojan virus (deleted)
2. unable to close out MS access. I have two versions and just recently installed the second one (here I was able to change the WB theme that I was using and the problem corrected itself, think the culprit was vistaxp, no blame just saying what happened?)
3. I can’t send messages to myself in my e-mail program (thunderbird, changed over to Eudora to correct this. I did uninstall/reinstall TB but no help)
4, I lost the whole WB interface and was stuck in classic, not even able to change over to XP style.
5. my wife and I exchanged an excel spreadsheet via e-mail that didn’t like being opened out of thunderbird.

Things that I have done to correct this.
1. ran AVG virus several times.
2. defraged the hard drive
3. cleaned out cache
4. cleaned out cookies
5. went to an earlier restore point
6. windows update (imagine 35 updates, darn)
7. removed all stardock components
8. re-installed WB 4.6

The ODBC issue that caused the problem you describe ("select data source") was a problem with initial releases of WB5 and has been corrected in the most recent version (by abandoning the jet database method and reverting to an *.ini-based skins list).

If you purchased WB5, you should be able to update to the new beta through Stardock Central. It is suggested you uninstall WB4.6 beforehand.
