Graphic Glitching

I have just reformated my hard drive because my pc started to glitch.
now whenever i turn on, reboot, return from stand by it mostly freezes my computer, and when it returns my computer is super slow and the graphics are messed up!

I am useing windows xp home, sp 2 and an intel pentium(R) 4.
These are the error messages after my whole episode.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated

That's good.

Close that window to get back to the previous selection window
and tell the online tool to do the "File System Check" and
after that the "Generic Drive Tests" too.

File System Check

Results for volume C: (NTFS)

Volume Label:
Volume Size: 80.02 GB
Some files on the volume are open. This may effect the accuracy of the file system check and result in false errors.

The file system contains errors that need to be repaired.

That either means that you run other programs while
the check is going on or, if that not the case,
file system on the hard drive has been damaged.

If you have run other programs while the test was
going on you may want to rerun it and letting it
run it's course before using the system.

If you only opened IE and ran the test you should
run the "Generic Drive Tests" too.

Sorry, lots of work here.

Ok, so you made all tests and found errors in the file system.

1. How old is your computer?
2. Did you buy it brand new or used?
Meaning, will you be able to call Alienware's support people
as yrag suggested and tell them how your system is behaving?

If so you should also tell them that you used the above tool
to test the hard drive and found errors in the file system
even though you have just reformated the hd.

Let us know.

Hehe, no worries, it's the busy season =D

"i did it again and some errors came up without any programs"

Ok, now we know that there is indeed something bad going on
and the file system is taking the hits. It may be that the
hard drive platter surface is causing the errors, but without
using special tools (like Spinrite) we won't know for sure.

"1 I got my computer about 3 yrs ago.
2 I Got It brand new."

Ok, then there is a chance that you can call the support and
get their suggestions on what you should do to get a fully
functional system again.

Since your rig is "about 3 yrs" old you must call them asap(!)
because most hard drives have a 3 year warranty and if it's
the hard drive causing the problems you must get a replacement
drive before that time has run out.

Let us know what they say.

I would tell them exactly what you have told us,
that your system started to glitch and that you
made a clean install of the system but that that
did not help, it's continuing to give you errors.

You should tell them that you were advised to
check your hard drive and that you used Seagate's
online tools, which reported file system errors.

Ask them what they suggest is the best way to
get a fully working system back.

I'm not sure how Alienware handle things like this
so just tell them exactly what has happened so they
can quickly help to get your rig up and running again.

Let us know what they say.
