PayPal

What's the point?

Hi, me again. I'd been waiting for PayPal to come back as a purchase option but now that it has I must say I'm desapointed. To try to buy via PayPal dosn't gives you more possible purchase options but exactly the same. (Credit card) I thought the whole point of using PayPal was to be able to pay directly form you bank account. When trying to buy, PayPal says the site dosen't support e-check (or what is it called) and therfore ask me for credit card... wich I can't have...

Any tips or helps would be welcome.
Btw, can't have credit card because I'm living on a disability plan of wellfare (from Canada) as both my legs and my ears are disabled.

PayPal doesn't support pre-orders, so it's not possible to order GalCiv II that way until its release. As a possible workaround, you could purchase a TotalGaming.net membership via PayPal and then use your tokens to get GalCiv II.

TotalGaming.Net does the same thing... PayPal is supported when the betas are live but it still ask for a credit card... what it says exactly is:
"You must add a credit card to complete this purchase because either the seller does not accept eChacks, or there is a problem with the back account on file. Some payments, like instant and immedite payments, require a credit card"

Now I've checked and there's no problem with my bank account (could buy on ebay and a few other sites I knew worked). If that's normal, I promise not to bug you again, but I thought the whole point of PayPal was to liberate us form credit cards (and eBay of course).

Tried both the purchase of TotalGaming Membership, Power Gaming Suite and GalCivII with the same result.
