In Tribal Trouble, a gang of Viking raiders is lost on the high sea following their latest successful pillaging trip, soon finding themselves stranded on a small group of tropical islands. The Vikings’ decision to remain on the island draws the ire of the island natives and a raucous battle ensues.

Tribal Trouble is a fast-paced real-time strategy game, in which gamers will lead their somewhat clueless kinsmen to new discoveries and victories as tribal clashes rage across a group of tropical islands. Players will take the role of Vikings or island natives as they fend off their opponents in single-player modes or in exciting online multiplayer battles.

Developed by Denmark-based Oddlabs, Tribal Trouble features single-player skirmish, single-player campaign and multiplayer modes, an endless supply of unique computer-generated islands, massive battles with up to six players and 900 tribesmen at once and much more.

My computer meets or exceeds the recommended requirements but the game starts to slow down after about an hour of playing and then the response to controls begins to slow significantly  until the game becomes unplayable

That's odd. Haven't seen that one during testing. There's a Report Bug feature built-into Tribal Trouble you can reach from the Options menu. The developers look into reports pretty quickly, so they should be able to figure out what's unhappy.
